    摘要: A liquid discharge head comprises discharge ports for discharging the liquid, a bubble producing area for producing an air bubble in the liquid of liquid flow channels, and a movable member, which is disposed toward the bubble producing area, and displaceable between a first position and a second position farther away from the bubble producing area than the first position, the liquid discharge head discharging the liquid in such a manner that the movable member is displaced from the first position to the second position by a pressure due to a bubble produced in the bubble producing area, and the bubble is more greatly expanded downstream than upstream in a direction toward the discharge port, due to the displacement of the movable member. The head has a check valve disposed in a liquid supply passage leading to the liquid flow channels.

    摘要: A liquid discharging method of regulating and directing an air bubble to a discharge port by a substrate having a heat generating surface for generating heat for creating an air bubble in a liquid disposed in face-to-face relationship with a liquid discharge port, a movable member provided so as to intervene between the heat generating surface and the discharge port, and having a free end displaceable by the air bubble, the free end or a changing portion being located in an area opposed to the minimum area region of the discharge port or upstream of the opposed area, and an opposed surface opposed to a surface which provides the heat generating surface side of the movable member when the free end of the movable member is displaced by the air bubble, and fixed to cooperate with the movable member during the displacement of the movable member to direct the air bubble toward the discharge port.

    摘要: A liquid discharging method which employs a liquid discharging head consisting of a liquid discharging port, a bubble generating region where the bubble generates in the liquid and a movable member that can move between a first position and a second position which is located at a point farther from the bubble generating region compared with the first position, wherein the movable member moves from the first position to the second position by the pressure of the bubble generated by the bubble generating energy in the bubble generating region, and at the same time the bubble expands farther toward the downstream direction compared with the upstream direction by the displacement of the movable member in order to discharge the liquid out of the liquid discharging port by the liquid discharging energy applied to such liquid. The movable member has its free end in the downstream side with respect to its fulcrum and the liquid is discharged by applying the discharging energy corresponding to a saturation domain where the amount of the liquid to be discharged out of the liquid discharging port is substantially saturated in accordance with the increase of the discharging energy.
