摘要： A liquid discharging method of regulating and directing an air bubble to a discharge port by a substrate having a heat generating surface for generating heat for creating an air bubble in a liquid disposed in face-to-face relationship with a liquid discharge port, a movable member provided so as to intervene between the heat generating surface and the discharge port, and having a free end displaceable by the air bubble, the free end or a changing portion being located in an area opposed to the minimum area region of the discharge port or upstream of the opposed area, and an opposed surface opposed to a surface which provides the heat generating surface side of the movable member when the free end of the movable member is displaced by the air bubble, and fixed to cooperate with the movable member during the displacement of the movable member to direct the air bubble toward the discharge port.

摘要： A liquid discharging head includes a discharge port for discharging liquid, a liquid passage communicated with the discharge port, a bubble generating area for generating a bubble in the liquid in the liquid passage, the bubble generating area including a heater for heating the liquid in the liquid passage, and a movable member disposed in a confronting relation to the bubble generating area in the liquid passage and adapted to be shifted by pressure caused by generating the bubble at the bubble generating area to direct the pressure toward the discharge port and to be returned to its initial position by negative pressure due to contraction of the bubble, and wherein resistance of the movable member against the liquid in the liquid passage when it is shifted is smaller than that when it is returned.

摘要： A liquid discharging method comprises the step of displacing the free end of the movable member following the creation of air bubble in the air bubble generating area. For this method, the fulcrum of the movable member is positioned on the side different from liquid discharging side with respect to the displacement area for the free end of the movable member to be displaceable, and at the same time, the free end thereof is arranged to face the effective bubbling area positioned on the downstream side of the central portion of the length of the effective bubbling area that forms the bubble generating area in the direction of the movable member from the fulcrum to the free end thereof, and a part of the effective bubbling area positioned to face the free end of the movable member on the downstream side of the effective bubbling area is arranged to face the displacement area directly. Thus, the initiation of the displacement of the free end of the movable member is effectuated quickly and reliably, and the pressure exerted by the air bubble creation is led to the discharge port side and the fulcrum side of the movable member sufficiently at the time of bubbling, and the development of air bubble that follows is directed to the discharge port side more reliably and efficiently.

摘要： A liquid discharge head comprises discharge ports for discharging the liquid, a bubble producing area for producing an air bubble in the liquid of liquid flow channels, and a movable member, which is disposed toward the bubble producing area, and displaceable between a first position and a second position farther away from the bubble producing area than the first position, the liquid discharge head discharging the liquid in such a manner that the movable member is displaced from the first position to the second position by a pressure due to a bubble produced in the bubble producing area, and the bubble is more greatly expanded downstream than upstream in a direction toward the discharge port, due to the displacement of the movable member. The head has a check valve disposed in a liquid supply passage leading to the liquid flow channels.
