    摘要: An electronic endoscope system includes an electronic endoscope having a CMOS image sensor on the tip of an insertion section, a light source device for illuminating the interior of a patient's body, and a processing device for reading out image signals from the CMOS image sensor. The electronic endoscope system can operate with a standard imaging mode and a special imaging mode. When the time taken to read out the image signals from all the pixels in the standard mode is defined as T, the light source device in the special imaging mode emits illumination light in every first half period T/2 while switching a wavelength of the illumination light between two different wavebands. In every second half period T/2, the processing device reads out the image signals from the half of the pixels.

    摘要: [Problem]To provide means for improving symptoms of cerebral dysfunction.[Solution Means]The inventor has newly found that peripheral administration of sepiapterin increases the bioavailability of aromatic monoamines in the brain. Accordingly, provided are a drug for preventing or improving cerebral dysfunction, which contains at least one of sepiapterin and its salt and also provided is a food and or drink for preventing or improving cerebral dysfunction, which contains at least one of sepiapterin and its salt. Unlike tetrahydrobiopterin, etc., sepiapterin is able to repress the lowering level of aromatic monoamines (such as serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline) in neurons in the brain and also increase the bioavailability.     摘要: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display apparatus and a liquid crystal television which are provided with a backlight to be lighted up by a separately-excited inverter circuit and realize improvement of contrast in low brightness. A microcomputer 50 obtains a brightness average value of image data from a brightness average value detecting circuit 22, directs an inverter circuit 62 to oscillate at a duty factor corresponding to the obtained brightness average value, and directs an output processing circuit 33 to perform gamma correction processing with gamma correction data corresponding to the obtained brightness average value. When the brightness average value is lowered, the microcomputer 50 lowers the duty factor to be outputted therefrom and lowers the brightness of the backlight 61. Moreover, when the brightness average value is lowered, the microcomputer 50 directs the output processing circuit to perform gamma correction processing with gamma correction data for widening a brightness range.
