Abstract: Described herein is a compact polyurethane having a density of ≥850 g/l, obtainable by reacting at least the components: i) a polyisocyanate composition; and ii) a polyol composition, including at least one polyether polyol (ii.1) which is obtainable by reacting ii.1.1) a polyol starter with a functionality of 3 to 6 with ii.1.2) propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide, in the presence of a boron-based, fluorine-containing Lewis acid catalyst (ii.1.3), where the polyether polyol (ii.1) has an equivalent molecular weight of 50 to 150 g/mol, and ii.1.4) optionally further auxiliaries and/or additives. Also described herein are a process for producing such a compact polyurethane and compact polyurethanes obtainable by this process. Also described herein is a method of using such a compact polyurethane for the production of a fiber composite. Also described herein are a corresponding fiber composite material and a process for producing such a fiber composite.

Abstract: Provided herein is a process for producing fiber composite materials which includes mixing an isocyanate component A and a polyol component B to afford a reaction mixture, impregnating fibers with the reaction mixture and the curing the impregnated fibers, wherein the polyol component B includes the alkoxylation product of a mixture of fat-based alcohol (i) and at least one OH-functional compound having aliphatically bonded OH groups and an OH functionality of 2 to 4 which is not a fat-based alcohol (ii). The present compound further relates to a fiber composite material obtainable by such a process and using the fiber composite material as a mast.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a polyurethane sealant, which comprises mixing (a) polyisocyanate, (b) polyetherpolyols, (c) aliphatic, exclusively amine initiated alkoxylation products having an OH-number of 400 to 1000 mg KOH/g and a functionality of 4, (d) blowing agents and optionally (e) chain extenders and/or crosslinking agents, (f) catalysts and (g) auxiliaries and/or additives to give a reaction mixture and reacting the reaction mixture to give the polyurethane sealant. The present invention further relates to a cast in place polyurethane sealant, obtained according to a process according to the present invention.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processes for the production of a polyurethane material, where (a) di- and/or polyisocyanates, (b) compounds which have hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanate groups and which do not include compounds having carbon-carbon double bonds, (c) compounds including at least one carbon-carbon double bond, (d) optionally catalyst that accelerates the urethane reaction, and (e) optionally other auxiliaries and additives are mixed to give a reaction mixture and the mixture is hardened at temperatures above 120° C. The present disclosure further relates to a polyurethane material obtainable by this process, and also to the use of the polyurethane material, in particular of a polyurethane fiber-composite material as structural components.
