摘要: Provided is an engine oil lubricant composition with improved fuel efficiency. The engine oil lubricant composition may include: a polyalpha olefin base oil component an amount of about 50 wt % to about 90 wt % based on a total weight of the engine oil lubricant composition, wherein the polyalpha olefin base oil component is a Group IV base oil and has a Noack volatility of about 12.5% to about 15%; a Group II base oil component in an amount of about 0.1 wt % to about 50 wt % based on the total weight of the engine oil lubricant composition. The engine oil lubricant composition may have (i) a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of about 10 cSt or less, (ii) a high temperature high shear viscosity at 150° C. of about 2.2 cP or less, and (iii) a Noack volatility of about 20% or less.

摘要: Molybdenum disulfide particles include a 2H crystal structure and a 3R crystal structure of molybdenum disulfide, in which a presence ratio of the 3R crystal structure in a crystal phase of molybdenum disulfide is 10% or more, and a crystallite size of the 3R crystal structure calculated by extended-type Rietveld analysis based on an analysis formula L=Kλ/(β cos θ) using a profile obtained from powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) using Cu-Kα rays as an X-ray source is 1 nm or more and 150 nm or less (in the above formula, K is an instrumental constant that depends on an XRD optical system (an incident side and a detector side) and settings, L is a crystallite size [m], λ is a measured X-ray wavelength [m], β is a half width [rad], and θ is a Bragg angle of a diffraction line [rad]).

摘要: A rubber friendly lubricant composition adapted for lubricating the cable in a greaseless down hole logging process including a general formulation: polypropylene glycol, poly alkylene glycol; amine borate; 1,3,4-Thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, disodium salt; and, deionized water. The lubricant being compatible with seals and rubbers, and other related materials, used on trucks and other oil field vehicles and equipment. Being water soluble, the lubricant also presents a low potential for fire risk, and is considered environmentally friendly. The lubricant also exhibiting superior freeze properties.

摘要: Provided is a lubricating oil composition capable of decreasing friction while ensuring anti-wear properties even if it is reduced in viscosity. The lubricating oil composition comprises a lubricant base oil, (A) a magnesium-based detergent, and (B) a molybdenum-based friction modifier, wherein the amount of component (A) is in the range of 200 to 1200 mass ppm in terms of a concentration in mass ppm of magnesium [Mg] in the lubricating oil composition, and the amount of component (B) is in the range of 500 to 1500 mass ppm in terms of a concentration in mass ppm of molybdenum [Mo] in the lubricating oil composition.

摘要: The present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition prepared by blending (A) a tertiary amine having a specific structure, (B) a metal-based detergent having a total base number according to a perchloric acid method of 50 mgKOH/g or less, (C) a metal-based detergent having a total base number according to a perchloric acid method of 150 mgKOH/g or more, (D) at least one selected from an acidic phosphate and an acidic phosphite, and (E) a lubricating base oil, which satisfies a requirement (X): the mass ratio of the metal fraction derived from the component (B) to the metal fraction derived from the component (C) (B/C) is 0.60 or less.

A lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine, which contains (A) a lubricant base oil having a dynamic viscosity of 2.0 to mm2/s at 100° C., (B) a molybdenum-based friction modifier in an amount of 0.005 to 0.2% by mass, in terms of a molybdenum content, based on the mass of the composition, (C) a salicylate-based metal detergent in an amount of 0.01 to 1% by mass, in terms of a metal content, based on the mass of the composition, and (D) at least one compound selected from amino acids having an alkyl group, alkenyl group, or acyl group having 15 to 24 carbon atoms and/or derivatives thereof in an amount of 0.01 to 10% by mass.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine comprising supplying to the engine a lubricating composition comprising: an oil of lubricating viscosity, 2.3 wt % to 4 wt % of a dispersant package, wherein the dispersant package comprises: a borated succinimide dispersant obtainable by an “ene” reaction of a polyalkylene with an acylating agent to form an intermediate, reacting the intermediate with an aminoalcohol or amine to form a dispersant, and reacting the dispersant with a borating agent to form a borated succinimide dispersant; and a non-borated succinimide dispersant obtained by a “Diels-Alder” reaction. The ratio of non-borated succinimide dispersant to borated succinimide dispersant is 90:10 to 20:80, and the borated succinimide has 0.2 wt % to 1.3 wt % boron on an oil-free basis of the dispersant.
