Abstract:
The use of gelatin-based copolymers containing at least one grafted side chain formed from ethylenically unsaturated compounds as an anti-accretion additive is proposed for water-based drilling fluids in the development, exploitation and completion of underground mineral oil and natural gas deposits and in deep wells. These copolymers are water-soluble and have good biodegradability.
Abstract:
Process for tertiary mineral oil production in which an aqueous injection fluid comprising at least a water soluble polyacrylamide-(co)polymer dissolved in the aqueous fluid is injected into a mineral oil deposit and the aqueous injection fluid is prepared by mixing a liquid dispersion polymer composition comprising particles of polyacrylamide-(co)polymers dispersed in an organic, hydrophobic liquid with an aqueous fluid. Preferably, the process is carried out on an off-shore production site.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to water-soluble hydrophobically associating copolymers which are obtained in the presence of a nonpolymerizable surface-active compound and which comprise novel hydrophobically associating monomers. The monomers comprise an ethylenically unsaturated group and a polyether block, the polyether block comprising a hydrophilic polyethyleneoxy block and a hydrophobic polyalkyleneoxy block consisting of alkyleneoxy units having at least 4 carbon atoms. The monomers may optionally have a terminal polyethyleneoxy block. The invention further relates to processes for preparing the copolymers and to the use thereof.
Abstract:
What is proposed is the use of a terpolymer comprising 5-95 mol % of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, 5-95 mol % of N,N-dimethylacrylamide and 5-12 mol % of acrylic acid as a fluid loss additive in well cementing.
Abstract:
Water-soluble, hydrophobically associating copolymers which comprise new types of hydrophobically associating monomers. The monomers comprise an ethylenically unsaturated group and a polyether group with block structure comprising a hydrophilic polyalkylene oxide block which consists essentially of ethylene oxide groups, and a terminal, hydrophobic polyalkylene oxide block which consists of alkylene oxides with at least 4, preferably at least 5 carbon atoms.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing hydrophobically associating macromonomers M and to the novel macromonomers prepared by means of the process according to the invention. The macromonomers M comprise a copolymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated group and a polyether structure in block form, the latter consisting of a polyethyleneoxy block and a hydrophobic polyalkyleneoxy block consisting of alkyleneoxy units having at least 4 carbon atoms. Optionally, the macromonomers M may have a terminal polyethyleneoxy block. The macromonomers prepared by the process according to the invention are suitable for reaction with further monomers, especially with acrylamide, to give a water-soluble, hydrophobically associating copolymer.
