Abstract: A stent includes an expandable tubular body formed of one or more interwoven wires, and including a plurality of anti-migration features each having a first end fixed to the tubular body and a second end extending radially outward from an outer surface of the tubular body. The anti-migration features may be formed of a closed loop of one or more of the interwoven wires extending from the outer surface of the tubular body. The closed loops may be formed at the first end, the second end and/or along a medial region of the tubular body. In some instances, the base of the loops may be a cross-over point of the wire(s) forming the closed loop. The wire(s) may be welded at the cross-over point.

Abstract: A stent includes an elongated tubular member expandable from a radially collapsed configuration to a radially expanded configuration, the elongate tubular member including a first plurality of filaments extending in a first helical direction and a second plurality of filaments extending in a second helical direction, the first plurality of filaments extending in the first helical direction and the second plurality of filaments extending in the second helical direction overlapping to form a plurality of cells arranged in rows extending circumferentially about the elongated tubular member. At least some of the cells within one or more rows are adapted to provide increased flexibility to the stent.

Abstract: Engageable stents disclosed herein may include an outer stent comprising an elongate body configured to be expandable between a constrained configuration and an unconstrained configuration. The elongate body in the unconstrained configuration may include a retention member and a cylindrical saddle region adjacent the retention member, the cylindrical saddle region defining a lumen extending along a longitudinal axis of the outer stent. The retention member of the outer stent may comprise a double-walled flange. The engageable stents may include an inner stent comprising an elongate body configured to be expandable between a constrained configuration and an unconstrained configuration. The elongate body in the unconstrained configuration may include a retention member and a cylindrical saddle region adjacent the retention member. The retention member of the inner stent may comprise a double-walled flange. The retention members of the outer and inner stent may be removably engageable with each other.

The medical device may include a shaft having a distal end, and a cap at the distal end of the shaft. The cap may include a lens and a reflector for deflecting the laser energy toward the lens. The lens may be configured to emit the laser energy from the cap toward a target.

Abstract: A mandrel for forming a stent with a tapered profile and one or more anti-migration features includes a first stent shaping segment having a first diameter, a second stent shaping segment having a second diameter less than the first diameter and a tapered segment disposed therebetween. A third stent shaping segment is releasably securable to the second stent shaping segment and has a third diameter greater than the second diameter. One or more movable pins are outwardly extendable from corresponding apertures formed within the tapered segment. An actuation element is engagable with the first stent shaping segment and includes a tapered surface configured to engage the one or more movable pins and support the one or more movable pins extended from the corresponding apertures.
