The coating material includes a polymeric component; a metal oxide component; and a catalytic component. The catalytic component includes a metal oxide or a mixed metal oxide which is an effective catalyst for an oxidation reaction. The coated personal protective clothing item includes a personal protective clothing substrate with a coating including the coating material.

摘要： This invention addresses the need for efficient dry skin electrodes. Robust, flexible Mixed Ionic Electronic Conductor (MIEC) electrodes were prepared by an aqueous solution route resulting in electrically conductive networks of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and ionically conductive elastic matrix. The flexible electrode was characterized in terms of conductivity, ionic charge transfer resistance, and water uptake. The flexible electrode maintained low resistance even after multiple cycles of 50% extension and contraction.

摘要： A method of desorbing CO2 from a CO2-containing liquid solvent, comprising: providing a liquid solution comprising CO2; contacting the liquid to a porous anodized aluminum surface or porous anodized titanium surface while increasing the temperature or reducing the pressure of the liquid solution; and separating desorbed CO2 gas from the liquid solution. A desorption composition is provided comprising: an anodized aluminum substrate coated with a porous alumina layer and a functionalized surface and characterizable by an infrared absorption near 1712 cm−1 and a Raman band near 530 cm−1.

摘要： A thermal management or infrared display system comprises: a first electrode, a storage layer comprising a dopant, a CNT layer in contact with the storage layer, and a second electrode. Applying a voltage between the electrodes changes the infrared emissivity such that the apparent temperature of the surface changes. In this fashion, the infrared emissivity of a substrate can be tuned.
