    摘要: The present invention imparts fire-retardancy upon cellulosic products utilizing a cost-effective, non-toxic, and reliable process. Unlike previous methods which impart superficial fire-retardant coatings upon finished products, the present process treats the individual cellulosic particles (i.e. fibers, chips etc.) that make up cellulose-based particle products. Treating the individual particles provides fire-retardancy throughout the entire length and width of the product. This full-depth retardancy provides superior protection, especially in catastrophic fires where the surface coat of other products can be compromised.

    摘要: A material in the form of polyamide fibers, polyester fibers, woven and non--woven fabric thereof, thermoplastic elastomer, and polyurethane sheet is coated with a silicone coating composition to a thickness of 5 to 20 .mu.m, obtaining a silicone coated base material. The silicone coating composition contains (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups, (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least two hydrogen atoms, (C) an organic silicon compound having at least one hydrogen atom and at least one epoxy and/or trialkoxy-silyl group, (D) a carbon, NiO.sub.2, FeO, FeO.sub.2, Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, Fe.sub.3 O.sub.4, CoO.sub.2, CeO.sub.2 or TiO.sub.2 powder having a mean particle size of up to 20 .mu.m, and (E) a platinum catalyst. The silicone coated base material is flame resistant and fully acceptable in practical use even though the silicone coating is as thin as 5 to 20 .mu.m, namely less than about one-half of the conventional coating thickness.

THE FIBERS SHRINK WHILE STILL IN THE PRESENCE OF THE SWELLING AGENT AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE FIBRES ARE RESTRETCHED TO 95-110% OF THEIR ORIGINALLENGHT BEFORE SWELLING. THEN WHILE MAINTAINING THESE DIMENSIONS THE FIBRES OR ROVINGS OR SILVERS ARE RINSED OR NEUTRALISED AND RINSED AND WHILE STILL MAINTAINING THESE DIMENSIONS ARE DRIED AT TEMPERATURES EXCEEDING 70*C. THE FIBRES OR SILVERS OR ROVINGS CAN BE GIVEN A RESIN FINISH AND THEY WILL NOT SHOW THE USUAL DEGRADATION OF PROPERTIES.

    摘要: The present invention comprises the coating and modification of textile materials in order to provide them with water-repellent properties. The object of the invention was to hydrophobize textiles loaded with metal oxide, wherein the hydrophobing agent presented here is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, adhering to the metal oxide surface considerably more stably and without the use of additional dispersants and binders, which also takes environmental aspects into account. The object is achieved by the use according to the invention of metal oxide particles and/or metal hydroxide particles of group IVB, IIB or IIIA or mixtures thereof, wherein said particles are present in a size range of 110 nm-10 μm, for the coating of textile materials and their treatment after application to the textile with phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester derivatives of the general form OP(OH)2OR or OP(OH)2R, wherein R is a hydrophobic residue in the form of aliphatic, branched or unbranched, alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon groups having 5-40 carbon atoms.
