摘要： An apparatus and method controls a speed of a fan in a computer. The apparatus includes a signal generator, a signal buffer, a signal switch, and an integrated baseboard management controller (IBMC). The IBMC includes a general purpose input output (GIPO) pin and a signal output port. The IBMC determines whether the IBMC operates normally by detecting a voltage status of the GIPO pin. The signal generator generates a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal according to a system temperature of the computer when the IBMC does not operate normally. The IBMC generates a second PWM signal to according to the system temperature of the computer when the IBMC operates normally. The signal switch controls the speed of the fan according to the first PWM signal or the second PWM signal.

摘要： A solid state disk assembly includes a solid state disk, a first heat conducting member and a second heat conducting member. The solid state disk includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and a chipset. The PCB includes a front surface, a rear surface, a first end, and a second end. The chipset is mounted on the front surface. The first heat conducting member abuts the chipset for absorbing heat generated by the solid state disk and includes at least a pair of elastic arms. The second heat conducting member attaches on the rear surface and includes at least a pair of engaging arms spatially corresponding to the at least one pair of elastic arms. The first end and the second end are clamped between the at least one pair of elastic arms. Each elastic arm engages with a respective one of the engaging arms.

摘要： A fan control circuit of a computer includes a fan interface connected to a connector of a fan, a fan controller and an electronic switch chip. The fan controller outputs a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to the fan interface to control the operation of the fan, and includes a general purpose input/output (GPIO) interface to output a voltage control signal to the electronic switch chip to switch the electronic switch chip on or off. The voltage control signal is at a low level at the start up moment of the computer, and thus does not turn on the fan via the electronic switch chip. After a preset delay period, the voltage control signal becomes a high-level signal under the control of the fan controller so that the fan interface receives the PWM signal.

摘要： A fan control circuit of a computer includes a fan interface connected to a connector of a fan, a fan controller, a NOT gate, and an electronic switch. The fan controller outputs a PWM signal to the fan interface to control the operation of the fan, and includes a GPIO interface to output a voltage control signal to the NOT gate to switch the electronic switch on or off. A signal output of the electronic switch is connected to the fan interface. The voltage control signal is high level at the start up moment of the computer, and thus does not turn on the fan via the electronic switch. After a preset delay period, the voltage control signal is turned low by the fan controller so that the fan interface receives the PWM signal.

摘要： A surveillance method monitors a monitored area using a monitoring station. The monitoring station in electronic communication with an actuator, an image capture device, and a plurality of motion sensors. The presence of motion in the monitored area is detected in real-time using the motion sensors. When the motion is detected, a target region in the monitored area where the motion is detected is determined, and a control signal is sent to the actuator according to the target region to control the image capture device to aim at the target region using the actuator. Real-time images of the target region are captured, and stored in a storage system of the monitoring station.

摘要： A power supply system for memory modules includes a control unit and a voltage regulator. The control unit includes a basic input/output system (BIOS) and a control chip connected to the BIOS. The BIOS controls the control chip to output a control signal according to the number of the memory modules mounted in memory slots.
