Abstract: A method for identifying material to be removed from a patient may use an imaging device, a display, a control unit, and an insertion device. The method may include obtaining a first set of image data from the imaging device, sending the first set of image data to the control unit from the imaging device, and analyzing the first set of image data based on at least one of a darkness, a contrast, or a saturation. The method may include generating a coded image identifying the material to be removed from the patient to be displayed on the display. The method may further include displaying the coded image on a first screen of the display, and indicating the material to be removed with the insertion device based on the displayed coded image.

Abstract: A device or scope device is disclosed. The device may comprise: a handle body extending along an axis between first end and a second end; an actuator at the first end of the handle body; a catheter at the second end of the handle body; and a processing unit communicable with a plurality of devices to: switch-in the actuator for control of one device of the plurality of devices; configure, with the actuator, a setting of the one device, control, with the actuator, the one device based on the setting, and switch-in the actuator for control of another one of the plurality of devices. Related devices and methods also are disclosed.

Abstract: An ostomy system includes an adapter. The adapter includes a body defined via a first surface configured to be positioned. When the adapter is in an operative configuration, facing toward a skin of a living body, and a second surface configured to be positioned when the adapter is in the operative configuration, facing away from the skin, an opening extending through the body from the first surface to the second surface, the opening being configured so that, when adapter is in the operative configuration, the body is positioned relative to a stoma such that a portion of the stoma is received within the opening, the body including a chamber configured to receive an odor-absorbing filter and a channel extending between the opening and the chamber to facilitate odor-absorption from intestinal contents passing through the opening into the chamber.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a medical device. Systems and methods are provided for removing particles, stone fragments and/or stone dust from a patient. The medical device described herein may work by positioning within the kidney, a catheter to flush stone dust. The catheter may include a dual lumen tube which provides fluid through one lumen to irrigate a target area and provides suction through a second lumen to carry out the irrigation fluid along with stone dust. This stone dust may be the result of a previously performed stone dusting. The irrigation fluid may be introduced with a pulsed flow. The pulsed flow irrigation may facilitate the removal of small stone fragments. The suction may be applied by a vacuum at to evacuate the target area at a flow rate balanced with the flow rate of the introduction of the irrigation fluid.
