摘要: Executable content for use is preemptively loaded in order to allow the content to be used when requested by a user without the significant download delay which would otherwise be required. The executable content is downloaded without the user's specific request. When the content is to be used, additional data, such as license data or a password which may be purchased, may be required to access the full functionality of the executable content. Where the executable content is a game, the preemptive loading may be to a personal computer rather than a game console, in order to take advantage of the storage space traditionally available in such a personal computer. Content is loaded based on system information, which may include, without limitation, information about the system, the user of the system, and/or community information regarding a community the user belongs to or users similar to the user, among other information.

The background audio played is based on details regarding the state of the video game system, including information regarding the game being played on said video game system. The user can select from among several possibilities for background music, and the selection is then streamed to the video game system from the music service. Enforcement of digital rights and purchasing of tracks streamed from the music service are provided for.

摘要: A balance member is formed of a plurality of substantially planar rigid trunk elements arranged in a vertical stack and alternately oriented orthogonally to each adjacent trunk element. Each planar trunk element further supports a pair of oppositely positioned substantially horizontal tier members. A chance device and a plurality of tokens are provided to complete the game apparatus. The game is played by operating the chance device at the initiation of each player's turn to designate a particular tier level upon the balance member which the player must place a token successfully without tipping the balance member during each turn. The balance member is supported by a base having a downwardly convex preferably spherical surface which allows the balance member to tip in response to imbalances of token distribution caused by player placement of tokens.

摘要: On a display configured to provide a photorepresentative view from a user's vantage point of a physical environment in which the user is located, a method is provided comprising receiving, from the user, an input selecting a theme for use in augmenting the photorepresentative view. The method further includes obtaining, optically and in real time, environment information of the physical environment and generating a spatial model of the physical environment based on the environment information. The method further includes identifying, via analysis of the spatial model, one or more features within the spatial model that each corresponds to one or more physical features in the physical environment. The method further includes based on such analysis, displaying, on the display, an augmentation of an identified feature, the augmentation being associated with the theme.

摘要: An integrated virtual environment is provided by obtaining a 3D spatial model of a physical environment in which a user is located, and identifying, via analysis of the 3D spatial model, a physical object in the physical environment. The method further comprises generating a virtualized representation of the physical object, and incorporating the virtualized representation of the physical object into an existing virtual environment, thereby yielding the integrated virtual environment. The method further comprises displaying, on a display device and from a vantage point of the user, a view of the integrated virtual environment, said view being changeable in response to the user moving and/or interacting within the physical environment.
