摘要: A copolymer may include ethylene and vinyl acetate, in which the ethylene is at least partially obtained from a renewable source of carbon. Embodiments may also be directed to curable polymer compositions, expandable polymer compositions, articles, cured articles, and expanded articles formed from or including such copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate, in which the ethylene is at least partially obtained from a renewable source of carbon. A process for producing an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer may include fermenting a renewable source of carbon to produce ethanol; dehydrating the ethanol, wherein the ethanol is dehydrated to produce ethylene; and polymerizing ethylene and vinyl acetate to produce the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer.

摘要: Compositions may include an EVA copolymer produced from ethylene, vinyl acetate, and one or more polar comonomers, wherein at least one of the one or more polar comonomers include an amine moiety. Methods may include preparing a polymer composition by adding ethylene, vinyl acetate and one or more polar comonomers to a reactor or extruder, wherein at least one of the one or more polar comonomers include an amine moiety; and reacting the ethylene, vinyl acetate and one or more comonomers to produce the polymer composition. Compositions may include an adhesive film composition that include at least one layer including a polymer produced from ethylene, vinyl acetate, and one or more polar comonomers, wherein at least one of the one or more polar comonomers include an amine moiety.
