This invention relates to water-dispersible polyolefin compositions. In particular, it relates to water-dispersible polyolefin compositions useful as hot melt adhesive compositions. These holt melt adhesives have improved repulping properties and are produced from low-cost materials and, in addition, are suitable for bonding a variety of materials. The improved repulpability of the hot melt adhesive is achieved by using an esterified carboxylated polyolefin in formulating the hot melt adhesives.
