    摘要: An electronic controller, such as a programmed microcontroller, controls a series of pumps to automatically sequence the pumping of the individual fluids required by the ELISA procedure into a cell (or cells) necessary to produce a reporter, including the addition of o-nitrophenyl beta-D galactopyranoside substrate of the enzyme (“ONP-GP”), control the positioning of the carrier of the reporter adjacent the reporter sensor, analyze the data obtained from the reporter sensor and display the concentration of the bioagent determined from the analysis of the foregoing data. Once started, the apparatus, governed by the program, conducts the test automatically in the shortest time known to date, without the necessity for human intervention.

    摘要: Testing of the foot soldier or other person on the battlefield for bioagent contamination is facilitated by a computer controlled portable testing unit that combines a sink or other receptacle (1), an automated ELISA tester (3), and means to transport fluids (10, 9, 11, 15) stemming from the soldier deposited in the receptacle to the automated ELISA tester in which the analysis is performed. For external contamination detection, operation is initiated by a sensor (25) detecting the presence of a persons hands under a spout (23) and for internal contamination detection operation is initiated by the operation of a momentary operate switch (32). External contamination detection begins by washing the soldier's hands and/or face in receptacle (1), while internal contamination detection begins with the soldier spitting, coughing or sneezing into the receptacle.

    摘要: Mixing of a sample containing a suspect bioagent or antigen with 1° recognition molecule coated magnetic beads in the preliminary stage of an enzyme linked immunoassay (“ELISA”) procedure is emulated by first inserting the coated magnetic beads into a non-magnetic confinement region, generating a magnetic field B along the axis of said non-magnetic confinement region to agglomerate the coated magnetic beads into a porous mass; then percolating or otherwise forcing the sample solution through said porous mass; and withdrawing the magnetic field to de-agglomerate said coated magnetic beads. In seeping or otherwise flowing through the magnetic beads the molecules of the sample link to respective magnetic beads that are coated with recognition molecules.

    摘要: A primary antibody bead suspension for an enzyme-linked immunoassay (“ELISA”) procedure is formed of a quantity of primary antibody coated magnetic beads (3) uniformly dispersed and held in suspension (9) by a thixotropic non-Newtonian fluid (1). To remove the thixotropic non-Newtonian fluid prior to application in the ELISA procedure, a magnet (12) is placed against the side of the non-magnetic vessel (9) holding the suspension to draw the magnetic beads against the side while the thixotropic fluid is washed away by pumping (14,16,15& 17) and replaced by a saline buffer solution.

    摘要: Techniques are described that allow a network device, such as a router, to forward data packets received from a subscriber device to an Ethernet virtual local area network (VLAN) interface within the network device where the VLAN interface has been dynamically built based on a subscriber information string. For example, a primary VLAN sub-interface (PVS) and a subscriber VLAN sub-interface (SVS) may each be dynamically built over a statically built VLAN major interface. In particular, the network device comprises a forwarding controller, where the forwarding controller receives a data packet over an Ethernet port. The network device accesses upper-layer protocol information within the data packet to determine an SVS within the network device to which to forward the data packet based on the upper-layer protocol information.
