摘要: A wireless local area network (WLAN) mobile station (110, 112, 114) has an application processor core (204) and a WLAN processor (202). So as to conserve energy, when the two processors are not needed, they are both placed in a minimal power consumption mode. The WLAN processor operates a WLAN radio and receives beacon transmissions from an access point (120). Upon extracting the beacon data from a received beacon signal, the WLAN processor passes the beacon data to the application processor. To ensure receipt of the beacon data, the WLAN processor remains active until the application processor acknowledges receipt of the beacon data before transitioning back to a sleep mode. To prevent keeping the WLAN processor waiting longer than necessary, the application processor wakes up ahead of the beacon receipt time, in time to allow transition to an awake mode so that it is active by the time the WLAN processor passes the beacon data.

摘要: A wireless station (114) is within range of more than one access point (120, 124) transmitting on the same channel. The wireless station is associated with one access point and not the other. Consequently the wireless station may receive undesired beacons (304) and desired beacons (302) on the channel. To optimize power save operation the wireless station arbitrates between a scan and shut down scanning procedure (708) and a timed window channel scanning procedure (724), depending on whether the desired beacon is the first received beacon upon waking up from a low power state at a target beacon time.

摘要: An end terminal for a guardrail system includes an elongated guardrail beam and a flattening or reshaping device defining a channel having an inlet and an outlet vertically aligned along a longitudinal axis. The guardrail beam is moveable along the longitudinal axis through the channel from the inlet to the outlet. An anchor is vertically spaced below the outlet, with a tether coupled between the anchor and an end portion of the guardrail beam. The tether is adapted to pull the guardrail beam downwardly from a first height at the outlet to a second height vertically spaced from the first height free of any engagement with any other structure once the guardrail beam exits the outlet, and with a bending of the deformed guardrail beam in only one direction after the deformed guardrail beam leaves the outlet. Methods of assembly and operation are also provided.

摘要: A sonic drill head comprising an outer housing, an isolation system, a sine generator and a spindle. The sine generator generates a linear sinusoidal vibration force through the rotation of a plurality of eccentric masses. The sine generator is configured to translate the linear sinusoidal force to the spindle in a direction corresponding to the spindle's axis of rotation. The sine generator supports the spindle within the housing such that the spindle is free to rotate about the spindle axis. The spindle is generally a hollow tube section thereby allowing the passage of drilling fluid, mud, cuttings, and/or tooling. The isolation system generally reduces the transfer of the vibration force generated by the sine generator to the outer housing, yet is able to transfer an applied thrust force from the outer housing to the sine generator.

A mail database associated with a mail application can be analyzed to identify attachments meeting particular administrator criteria. The attachments are analyzed and replaced with stubs to allow continued mail application interaction with the mail database. The attachments may be optimized with deduplication and/or compression.

摘要: A safety barrier comprising is disclosed. The safety barrier comprises a plurality of posts spaced from each other and disposed adjacent to a roadway, each post having a cross section defined in part by a web and a pair of legs extending therefrom. Additionally, each post has one slot formed in the web of the post extending from an upper end of the post. A first cable and a second cable are releasably engaged with and supported by the posts and disposed within each slot between the respective legs of each post. A third cable and a fourth cable are each coupled to an exterior surface of the posts. The posts and the first, second, third and fourth cables cooperate to prevent a vehicle from leaving the roadway.
