摘要: Disclosed is an inhalation device which comprises a housing having a removable therein. The vial will contain such liquid as phyto-cannabinoids, cannabidiol, terpenoids, aromatherapy, or tetrahydrocannabinol. A conveyance tube in the housing communicate with the interior of the vial and has therein a material for conveying the distillates by capillary action to a vaporization chamber. The conveyance tube has a conically shaped head for puncturing THC membrane. The liquid in the vial to passes from the conveyance tube into a vaporization chamber. The vaporization chamber, which is also in the housing, has attached to it a heating device for vaporizing the liquid. The vaporized liquid then passes through vents in the vaporization chamber housing and within the main housing so as to be available to be drawn out through a mouthpiece which is in turn secured to the housing.

摘要: A pharmaceutical composition and method for treating opioid overdose, opioid dependency, and xylazine exposure is disclosed, utilizing an aqueous solution of sodium chloride. This solution contains active ingredients such as naloxone and yohimbine in specific concentrations, with naloxone targeting opioid overdose and yohimbine aimed at counteracting Xylazine effects. In various embodiments, additional components like tolazoline and different buffers can be included. The disclosure introduces a unique delivery system that features a capsule with a vibrating mesh atomizer for efficient administration. Specifically, for yohimbine, a dual-reservoir capsule design facilitates controlled mixing with diluents or buffers. The administration of this pharmaceutical composition can be achieved through multiple methods, including intramuscular, intravenous, and atomized routes. The atomizing device incorporates a removable cap and a resilient air bladder, ensuring effective drug delivery. This system offers precision and adaptability in treating conditions related to opioid overdose, dependency, and Xylazine exposure.

摘要: The present disclosure provides dry powder compositions of treprostinil prodrugs and methods of treating pulmonary hypertension (e.g., pulmonary arterial hypertension or PH associated with interstitial lung disease), in a patient in need thereof with the same. The dry powder composition includes (a) from about 0.5 wt % to about 5 wt % of a compound of Formula (I):
a stereoisomer thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (b) from about 10 wt % to about 61 wt % of leucine, and the balance being (c) a sugar selected from the group consisting of trehalose and mannitol. The entirety of (a), (b), and (c) is 100 wt %, and R1 is tetradecyl, pentadecyl, hexadecyl, heptadecyl, or octadecyl. The method of treating PH includes administering an effective amount of the dry powder composition to the lungs of the patient by inhalation via a dry powder inhaler, during an administration period. In certain compositions and methods provided herein, R1 is hexadecyl, e.g., linear hexadecyl.-

摘要: Apparatus and methods are described for use with a vaporizer that vaporizes at least one active ingredient of a plant material. In response to receiving a first input to the vaporizer, the plant material is heated, in a first heating step. An indication of the temperature of the plant material is detected, and, in response to detecting an indication that the temperature of the plant material is at a first temperature, the first heating step is terminated, by withholding causing further temperature increase of the plant material. The first temperature is less than 95 percent of the vaporization temperature of the active ingredient. Subsequently, a second input is received at the vaporizer. In response thereto, the plant material is heated to the vaporization temperature, in a second heating step. Other applications are also described.

摘要: Various exemplary drug delivery devices with a spinning nozzle, drug products utilizing the same, and methods of using drug delivery devices with a spinning nozzle are provided. In general, a nasal drug delivery device configured to dispense a drug therefrom includes a spinning nozzle configured to facilitate the drug's ejection into a patient's nose. The spinning nozzle is located between a drug holder containing the drug to be dispensed and an opening of the drug delivery device through which the drug exits the drug delivery device. The spinning nozzle is configured to spin during the drug's delivery as the drug travels from the drug holder and out of the drug delivery device. The spinning nozzle includes a plurality of perforations therein through which the drug as a liquid is configured to pass. The spinning of the spinning nozzle causes the drug to exit the drug delivery device as a fine mist.

摘要: Methods are provided for acute treatment of agitation, including agitation in patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, comprising administering to a subject with agitation an effective dose of a dry pharmaceutical composition comprising olanzapine, wherein the dose is administered by an intranasal delivery device that provides, following intranasal administration, (a) a mean peak plasma olanzapine concentration (Cmax) of at least 30 ng/mL, with (b) a mean time to Cmax (Tmax) of olanzapine of less than 0.5 hours. Dry pharmaceutical compositions and devices suitable for intranasal delivery of olanzapine are provided.
