摘要: Disclosed is an autoCPAP respirator which comprises a control unit, a respiration blower and a pressure sensor. The control unit comprises a controller for generating a first control signal, which induces the speed of the blower to generate a pressurized breathing gas flow, a controller for generating a periodically variable control signal, which activates the blower such that the speed of the blower varies in an oscillating manner at a frequency in the range of 1-20 Hz, and a sensor device, which ascertains one or more of instantaneous speed, instantaneous electrical current and instantaneous electrical power of the blower to determine the breathing gas flow and/or breathing gas volume generated by the blower while using characteristic data of the blower stored in a memory.

摘要: A fluid medicament delivery device includes a patient attachment unit, containing the fluid medicament, and an indicator unit adapted to be detachably coupled to the patient attachment unit. A method for monitoring the fluid medicament includes independently setting a flow rate of a fluid medicament with the patient attachment unit. A pressure and/or a flow rate of the fluid medicament is sensed with a sensor located in a separate indicator unit in a sensing mode. A status of the fluid medicament delivery device is determined based at least in part on the pressure and/or the flow rate.

摘要: A method for injecting a substance through a biological body surface includes providing a needle-free transdermal transport device configured to inject the substance through the surface. The substance is injected into the biological body with the transport device while a parameter of the injection is sensed and a servo-controller is used to dynamically adjust at least one injection characteristic based on the sensed parameter. The substance is injected for (i) a first time period during which a first portion of a volume of the substance is injected at a first injection pressure, and (ii) a second time period during which a remainder of the volume of the substance is injected at a second injection pressure. A viscosity of the substance may be determined, and a pressure calculated for injecting the substance based on the viscosity. The substance may be injected with the transport device by using the calculated pressure.

摘要: A pressure system in a communication loop with an atmospheric pressure data source is set forth. Atmospheric pressure data from the atmospheric pressure data source can be received by a processor to set one or more operating parameters for the pressure system based on environmental data provided in the atmospheric pressure data from an absolute pressure sensor or other atmospheric data source.
