In addition, the present invention provides the system configuration in which access from a terminal to the center is not always performed but can be performed arbitrarily according to needs. As a terminal-side configuration, a flexible dialog management unit and a task management unit for performing application management are separated from each other. Furthermore, the terminal configuration has a four-tier structure of a user interface, dialog management, task management, and applications. In addition, means for fetching application information from the center in accordance with needs is provided.

摘要: A feedstock composition and a method of forming metal articles using powder metallurgy techniques comprise mixing metal powders and a novel aromatic binder system. The composition of the novel feedstock comprises an aromatic binder system and a metal powder. The aromatic binder system comprises an aromatic species and can further comprise lubricants, surfactants, and polymers as additives. The metal powder comprises elemental metals, metal compounds, and metal alloys, particularly for highly-reactive metals. The method of forming metal articles comprises the steps of providing and mixing the metal powder and the aromatic binder system to produce a novel feedstock. The method further comprises processing the novel feedstock into a metal article using a powder metallurgy forming technique. Metal articles formed using the present invention have an increase in carbon and oxygen contents each less than or equal to 0.2 wt % relative to the metal powder used to fabricate the article.

摘要: An apparatus to treat an influent solution comprising ions to obtain a selectable ion concentration in an effluent solution. The apparatus comprises an electrochemical cell comprising a housing comprising first and second electrodes. A water-splitting ion exchange membrane is between the first and second electrodes, the membrane comprising ananion exchange surface facing the first electrode, and an cation exchange surface facing the second electrode, or vice versa. The housing also has an influent solution inlet and an effluent solution outlet with a solution channel that allows influent solution to flow past both the anion and cation exchange surfaces of the water-splitting ion exchange membrane to form the effluent solution. A variable voltage supply is capable of maintaining the first and second electrodes at a plurality of different voltages during an ion exchange stage.

摘要: An electrode power supply for an electrochemical ion exchange cell having an ion exchange membrane between a pair of electrodes, has a voltage selector to receive an AC voltage and selectively couple the AC voltage to a voltage supply. The voltage supply produces an output voltage from the AC voltage. A zero crossing detector detects zero-crossing events in the AC voltage and produce an indication related to the zero-crossing events. The selective coupling of the voltage selector is enabled based on the indication of the zero-crossing events.
