At least one location to be covered under the insurance policy is received (FIG. 3, block 320). Risk associated with the location is automatically assessed (FIG. 3, block 338). It is determined whether to underwrite the location based on the assessed risk (FIG. 3, block 340). Also provided is a technique for proximity analysis (FIG. 54). Selection of a proximity center is received (FIG. 55). A function is executed with the proximity center to determine target data items that fall within a proximity area around the proximity center. The target data items are spatially represented.

A selection of customer sites is received and a database is queried to determine geographical locations of the selected network sites. A graphical user interface is rendered including representations of the selected customer sites in a map at the geographical location of the selected sites in the map. Selection is received of at least one network service provider (NSP). The database is queried to determine network infrastructure of the selected NSP and geographical locations of the determined network infrastructure. Representations are rendered of the determined network infrastructure in a map at the determined geographical locations of the determined network infrastructure to render a visualization of the geographical locations of the selected customer sites and network infrastructure of the selected at least one NSP in the map.

    摘要: Apparatuses, systems for, and methods of transporting digital signals and radio-frequency (“RF”) signals are disclosed. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention, an intelligent network (e.g., a combination router) and corresponding method are provided for transporting RF signals to, for example, an RFID antenna and transporting digital signals to, for example, a controller. In a preferred embodiment, the intelligent network is implemented with a manager unit for controlling a plurality of network devices to facilitate the efficient management of RFID-enabled devices. The network devices may include a combination router/switch, which has the capability of switching both digital data and RF data, RFID readers, RFID reader/writer pads, and other devices. In accordance with preferred embodiments, the intelligent network allows enhanced flexibility in controlling systems for interrogation of RFID antennae.

    摘要: A system and method for data communication connecting on-line networks with on-line and off-line computers. The present system provides for broadcast of up to the minute notification centric information thereby providing an instant call to action for users who are provided with the ability to instantaneously retrieve further detailed information. The notification centric portions of information is wirelessly broadcast to wireless receiving devices which are attached to computing devices. Upon receipt of the information at the personal computer, the user is notified through different multimedia alerts that there is an incoming message. Wirelessly broadcasted URL's, associated with the data, are embedded in data packets and provide an automated wired or wireless connection back to the information source for obtaining detailed data.

    摘要: Users access an on-line address service to register their name (which may be a pseudonym or other fictitious or imaginary identity) and a unique contact address that may be used directly or indirectly to address a message over another communication network to an associated listening device. Once a potential user has registered his on-line identity and contact information, other users accessing the address service can then designate one of the listed names, either by selecting the name from a display list of registered names (if all registered names are displayed) or by entering the designated name onto an appropriate form, whereupon the computer hosting the address service will broadcast a message addressed to the identified person's associated listening device. Once the message is received, the listening device notifies the associated user by causing the user's computer to initiate an appropriate visual and/or audio alert display concerning the contact attempt. The user is then given an opportunity to connect to the on-line network and access a designated site to obtain further information about the attempted contact and/or to establish a direct connection with the interactive on-line activity from which the contact attempt originated, at the same time automatically launching any required browser or application software.
