    Abstract: A valve for controlling delivery of fluid includes a valve seat comprising a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a conical well having an opening, a beveled surface and a bottom, and a valve membrane comprising a conical portion having a base and a tip. The conical portion is configured to fit within the conical well of the valve seat. The valve membrane is configured to fluidly connect the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet when the valve membrane is in an undeformed position and fluidly disconnect the fluid inlet from the fluid outlet when the valve membrane is in a radially deformed position.

    Abstract: An intravenous infusion tubing fitment comprises a body, a rotatable knob coupled with the body, and a pressure dome seated within the knob. The body defines; a first inlet configured for coupling with a first segment of tubing; a first outlet into a pressure dome; a second inlet from the pressure dome; and a second outlet configured for coupling with a second segment of tubing. The knob defines an expansion opening within a surface of the knob. The pressure dome is formed of a flexible elastomeric material and defines a fluid flow path between the first outlet and the second inlet. The pressure dome includes a vane configured to variably regulate flow through the fluid flow path in response to rotation of the knob. The pressure dome is configured to expand through the expansion opening in response to fluid pressure in the fluid flow path.

    Abstract: A pump cassette includes fluid lumen adapted for passage of an infusion fluid toward a patient. A rotary valve assembly can be actuated to regulate fluid flow through the fluid lumen and a frame is coupled to the fluid lumen and the valve assembly. The frame is adapted to be inserted into a seat of a pump device, wherein the frame provides a platen relative to the fluid lumen. The frame is configured to be inserted into the seat only when aligned in a predetermined orientation relative to the seat.

    Abstract: A sensor assembly for an infusion system is provided. The sensor assembly includes a body, a pressure diaphragm, a fluid passageway formed between the body and pressure diaphragm, and a sensor. The pressure diaphragm includes a diaphragm interface. The sensor includes a sensor interface that is coupled to the diaphragm interface in an interlocked connection. The interlocked connection is configured to transfer a load from the pressure diaphragm to the sensor. The load may indicate a fluid pressure of the fluid passing through the fluid passageway.

    Abstract: A wasting station for receiving a wasted medication from a medication dispenser is provided. The wasting station includes a base and a locking mechanism. The base includes a weight sensor to measure a weight of a waste container supported by the base. The wasting station can determine, based on the measured weight, a volume of the wasted medication positioned within the waste container. The locking mechanism includes a first end coupled to the base. The locking mechanism also includes a second end coupled to the waste container when the locking mechanism is in a first position and decoupled from the waste container when the locking mechanism moves from the first position to a second position, thereby allowing for removal of the waste container.

    Abstract: An infusion pump may include one or more pressure sensors. A controller associated with the infusion pump may determine, based on pressure signals from the pressure sensors, a current pressure profile for the infusion pump. The controller may further determined a first metric representative of the current pressure profile of the infusion pump. The controller may detect, based at least on a difference between the first metric and a second metric representative of a reference pressure profile of the infusion pump, one or more anomalous conditions of the infusion pump such as a valve failure. The controller may perform a corrective action in response to detecting the anomalous conditions. For example, the controller may prevent the infusion pump from performing an infusion and/or generate a notification identifying the anomalous conditions. Related systems, methods, and computer program products are also provided.
