    摘要: An injection device includes a dispensing chamber, a plunger, a controller, a memory device resistant to sterilization, and a housing at least partially enclosing the dispensing chamber and the plunger. The dispensing chamber has an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface defines a cavity for receiving a quantity of a substance. The plunger is engaged with the inner surface of the dispensing chamber, is capable of sliding in the cavity of the dispensing chamber, and is fluidly sealed to the inner surface of the dispensing chamber. The controller controls the operation of the injection device. The controller reads dosage data from the memory device and operates the injection device to deliver a dosage corresponding to the dosage data.

A drug and compound mixture are brought to a temperature other than room temperature and dispensed into the mold under a vacuum to form pellets.

The system has a dispensing member, a plunger, an actuation chamber, a lock mechanism, a lock stop, a port, a source of pressurized gas, and a shaft. The lock mechanism travels in the actuation chamber in an axial direction toward and away from a distal end of the dispensing member. The lock stop is located on the inner surface of the actuation chamber. The lock stop is engageable with the lock mechanism such that when the lock mechanism travels in the axial direction toward the distal end of the dispensing member to a first position located on a distal side of the lock stop, the lock mechanism cannot travel in a reverse direction away from the distal end of the dispensing member to a location on a proximal side of the lock stop.

    摘要: The present invention is an ophthalmic injection system with a limited reuse assembly and a tip segment. The tip segment is connectable to and removable from the limited reuse assembly. The proximate end of the plunger has a first mechanical linkage interface. The limited reuse assembly of the ophthalmic injection system has a power source, a controller, a motor, a second mechanical linkage interface located on an end of the motor shaft; and a second housing. The first mechanical linkage interface is mateable with the second mechanical linkage interface such that when the tip segment is connected to the limited reuse assembly, the first mechanical linkage interface mates with the second mechanical linkage interface so that motion of the shaft results in motion of the plunger.
