摘要: A method and system of selecting assets for display in an interactive media guidance application includes receiving a user input indicating interest in a media item; generating a list of media assets related to the media item, selecting, based on priority rules, a subset of the media assets to display in an interactive media guidance application, and displaying an identifier for each of the subset of media assets in the interactive media guidance application screen. The priority rules may assign a first priority to one type of media asset and a second priority to a second type of media asset, and may be based on: whether the media asset has been viewed, and a respective time associated with the media asset.

摘要: A system for electronic file collaboration among multiple users is implemented using command messages transmitted on dedicated network channels established between conference participants in a peer-to-peer architecture with total autonomy from a central server. The system employs owner-in-control methodology to allow direct transmission of copies of documents among participants by permission, and to prevent storage of copies of documents used in a conference by participants. Mark-ups, additions, and other actions occurring on a conference document can only be saved by the document owner. An advanced viewer engine is provided for reading, displaying and manipulating electronic data in texts, tables, vectors and 3D model formats, as well as common raster images. A proxy module allows data transmitted through IPFW routers or firewall devices with sufficient authentications and security measures.

摘要: A method of authenticating a product is provided. The product has an associated electronic device, such as an RFID circuit. The method measures a physical attribute of the product, such as a laser speckle, and stores the measurement as a product signature, either in the RFID circuit or remotely. At the time the product is to be authenticated, a second measurement is taken, which is compared to the product signature. A product identifier from the electronic device may be used to facilitate the comparison. If the signatures match, the product is considered to be authentic.

摘要: A system is provided for authenticating and securing product transactions. An integrated circuit is attached to a target, such as an optical disc or electronic device. The integrated circuit has an RF transceiver that is capable of establishing communication with an associated reading device. The integrated circuit also has a hidden memory, which can not be read externally, and a user memory. The hidden memory stores an authentication message, while the user memory stores readable authentication information. The hidden authentication message and the authentication information are related through a cryptographic process. However, even though the integrated circuit benefits from the cryptographic security, the integrated circuit only operates relatively simple logic operations. In this way, a highly secure transaction is enabled without requiring significant processing power or time at the integrated circuit. When the integrated circuit is placed near the reader, the reader reads the authentication information, and with the cooperation of a network operation center, uses the authentication information to derive an activation code. The reader passes the activation code to the integrated circuit, which compares the activation code to its hidden activation message. If they have a proper relationship, the communication has been authenticated, and the integrated circuit proceeds to perform an action.
