    摘要: Compositions and methods for conferring nematicidal activity to bacteria, plants, plant cells, tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions including a coding sequence for nematicidal polypeptides are provided. The coding sequences can be used in DNA constructs or expression cassettes for transformation and expression in plants and bacteria. Compositions also include transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, tissues, and seeds. In particular, isolated nematicidal nucleic acid molecules are provided. Additionally, amino acid sequences corresponding to the polynucleotides are encompassed. In particular, the present invention provides for isolated nucleic acid molecules including nucleotide sequences encoding the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:4, 5, 8, 9, 13, 14, 47, 48, or 49, the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 15, 45, or 46, as well as variants and fragments thereof.

    摘要: The present invention relates to transgenic plants that have increased nitrogen use efficiency, stress tolerance, or both and that have been transformed using a novel vector construct including nucleic acid sequences that modulate nitrogen use in plants. In various embodiments, the vector construct comprises a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, or 38. The invention also relates to isolated vectors for transforming plants and to antibodies used for detecting transformed plants. The invention also relates to methods of expressing in plants the nucleic acid molecules corresponding to the nucleic acid sequences that modulate nitrogen use in plants or are modulated by nitrogen conditions.

    摘要: The present invention provides compositions and methods for targeting polypeptides to the chloroplasts of higher plants. Compositions include expression cassettes having a nucleotide sequence encoding a chloroplast targeting peptide (CTP) operably linked to a nucleotide sequence of interest, wherein the CTP is derived from Chlamydomonas sp. Plant transformation vectors, plants and plant cells having the CTP sequences are also encompassed, as well as variants and fragments of the CTP sequences. Methods for expressing a heterologous nucleotide sequence in a plant using the CTP sequences disclosed herein are also provided.
