摘要: An electrical device which comprises first and second laminar electrodes and a laminar PTC resistive element sandwiched between them, the device comprising (a) a main portion which comprises a main part of the first electrode, a main part of the second electrode, and a main part of the resistive element; and (b) a first connection leg which extends away from the main portion and which comprises a first leg part of the first electrode which is integral with the main part of the first electrode, and a first leg part of the resistive element which is integral with the main part of the resistive element. Such devices can be secured to circuit boards in a variety of ways, and to elastically deformed terminals. Preferably preferred devices contain two laminar electrodes, with a PTC element between them, and a cross-conductor which passes through the thickness of the device and contacts one only of the two electrodes. The cross-conductor permits connection to both electrodes from the same side of the device, and also makes it possible to carry out the steps for preparing such devices on an assembly which corresponds to a number of individual devices, with division of the assembly as the final step.

摘要: A cleaning device includes a cartridge assembly, a hose/tubing, a nozzle, and an activator. The cartridge assembly includes at least one cartridge configured to hold a liquid solution. An attachment device is coupled to the cartridge assembly and is configured to secure the position of the cartridge assembly to a user's arm adjacent the hand. A pump is located within the cleaning device and is located between cartridge and the nozzle, such that pump regulates dispensing of the liquid solution. The nozzle is in communication with the pump and acts as a diffuser to adjust the stream of the liquid solution passed through the hose from pump. The activator is in communication with the pump such that operation of the activator selectively releases a volume of the liquid solution from the cartridge so as to pass through the nozzle. A control unit and interface are permitted.

摘要: A bullet with grooves to create more surface area to reduce drag, thus keeping a flatter trajectory that reduces the effects of wind, temperature, elevation and angle. Groves would be manufactured into the bullet and bullet jacket twist would need to match the barrel twist. For example, 1 in 8 twist, 1 in 8½ twist, 1 in 9 twist, 1 in 10 twist, 1 in 11 twist etc. Groves would be over the ogive of the bullet prior to where the bullet contacts the barrel wall.

摘要: The present invention provides novel serum-free cell culture medium and methods for cultivating MDCK cells. In particular, non-tumorigenic MDCK cells. The present invention also provides methods for producing influenza viruses (e.g., particularly cold-adapted, and/or temperature sensitive, and/or attenuated influenza viruses) that eliminate the need for a cell culture medium exchange step. The novel medium and methods are useful to grow influenza viruses, in cell culture to high titer. The present invention further provides purification methods for purifying influenza viruses with high overall recovery of live virus and result in levels of host cell DNA (HCD), host cell protein (HCP) and non-specific endonuclease (e.g., Benzonase), which are below the specifications required by regulatory agencies. The immunogenic compositions can be used to actively immunize subjects or to generate antibodies for a variety of uses, including passive immunization and diagnostic immunoassays.

摘要: Multi-use tool tables configured to support table tools and allow selective rotation of the table tools between an upright position and an inverted position are described in the present application. The multi-use tool tables include: one or more rotatable plates having a first surface for receiving a first tool and a second opposing surface for receiving a second tool, a perimeter edge of the one or more rotatable plates being attached to a rotatable shaft; a column with a first attached to a support mechanism and a second attached to a sleeve, the sleeve being configured to receive the rotatable shaft; and a stop mechanism configured to selectively resist movement of the rotatable shaft within the sleeve. The one or more rotatable plates are rotatable between a first surface upright/second surface inverted position and a second surface upright/first surface inverted position.

摘要: A collapsible portable structure which may provide a play environment for children has side walling defining an upright corner region with a free side edge and a canopy which straddles the corner region. The canopy may provide a roof-like cover or at least a partial enclosure. The side walling is formed by at least one continuous loop of a flexible coilable rod supporting a flexible fabric panel. Thus there may be one curved or angular panel, or two adjoining panels or panel sections. The canopy is of flexile fabric and is attached to the fabric of the side walling at a location spaced inwardly from the free edge of the side walling. The canopy is supported separately from the side walling panels by at least one separate pole. A ground sheet may optionally be provided extending across the corner region between the lower edges of the side walling.
