摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for controlling a repeater that is less costly and more flexible. The objective is achieved by a method in a control unit (150) for controlling a repeater (100) being comprised in a radio access network (110). The control unit sends a repeater control message to the repeater (100). The repeater control message is tunneled as ordinary data communication via an available radio communication channel (160) within the radio access network (110). The repeater control message is configured to control the repeater (100).

摘要: The object of the present invention is to reduce interference and power consumption of a repeater operated in a wireless communication network. According to the present invention this object is achieved by a self-optimizing repeater (10) for use in a wireless communication network using predetermined carrier communication resources per cell. The self-optimizing repeater (10) comprises an amplifier (12) adapted to amplify a first subset of communication resources selected from, the carrier communication resources, a monitoring unit (14) adapted to monitor traffic load on the first subset of communication resources, and an adjustment unit (16) adapted to adjust the first subset of communication resources as a function of the monitored traffic load. The operation of the self-optimizing repeater is fully transparent and no control signaling is necessary to control the self-optimizing repeater.

摘要: For uplink cooperation of a serving access node (100-1) one or more supporting access nodes (100-2) are selected. The selection is based on a characteristic of a link between a terminal (200) served by the serving access node (100-1) and the supporting access node (100-2), or is based on a characteristic of a link between a further terminal (200′) served by the supporting access node (100-2) and the serving access node (100-1). The characteristics of the links may comprise a signal quality, e.g. a path gain, a signal strength, or a latency. The characteristics of the links may also comprise scheduling information, e.g. time resources and/or frequency resources used on the link.

摘要: A relay node for a wireless network is configured for transmissions on the basis of a radio frame with a plurality of subframes. The relay node includes a first relay path and a second relay path. The first relay path is configured to receive, in a first subframe of the subframes, first unicast transmission signals, to decode the first unicast transmission signals to obtain unicast data, and to forward the decoded unicast data by sending second unicast transmission signals in a second subframe of the subframes. The second relay path is configured to receive, in a third subframe of the subframes, multicast transmission signals, to amplify the received multicast transmission signals, and to send the amplified multicast transmission signals in the third subframe. The relay node may switch between the first relay path and the second relay path in order to implement a hybrid Decode-and-Forward and Amplify-and-Forward relaying operation.

摘要: Method and arrangement in a base station for sending control signals to a relay node. The relay node is configured to relay a data transmission from the base station to a user equipment in a subframe. The subframe comprises a first part, dedicated for downlink transmission, a second part dedicated for uplink transmission and a separating part situated between the first part and the second part. The base station, the relay node and the user equipment are comprised in a wireless communication network configured to operate according to the Time Division Duplex TDD principle. The method comprising transmitting data to the user equipment via the relay node in the first part of the subframe and transmitting the control signals, related to the transmitted data, to the relay node in the separating part between the first part and the second part of the subframe. Further, a method and arrangement in a relay node for receiving control signals from the base station are described.
