摘要： Analytical multi-spectral optical detection systems and methods. A light source provides one or multiple lines (e.g., discrete wavelengths) of high spectral purity excitation light that is optically coupled to a sample via delivery fiber optic cables. Emission light is collected and provided to an emission detector, such as a diffraction gradient spectrophotometer emission detector, using collection fiber optic cables bundled with the delivery fiber optic cables in a probe interface positioned proximal a sample holder. The probe interface may be scanned over one or more samples, or one or more samples may be scanned proximal a fixed interface probe. Multiple excitation wavelengths allows for simultaneous excitation and detection of multiple fluorescent dyes in the visible spectrum. This increases sample throughput and reduces signal variations associated with signal acquisition at different times. The optical system provides several advantages over other systems including higher sensitivity, improved compatibility with fluorescent dyes, better signal discrimination, increased system reliability and reduced manufacturing and service costs.

摘要： A modular sensor assembly in which a sensing module may be packaged and provided separately from a signal processing module and which, in some applications, may facilitate disposal and/or replacement of the sensing module when exposed to a “dirty” or “contaminated” environment without requiring disposal and/or replacement of the entire sensor assembly. In certain applications, the sensing module may include at least one transducer or sensor and a local memory containing a set of conditioning coefficients. The sensing module may be removably coupled to a signal processing module which, in some cases, may be configured to download the set of conditioning coefficients stored in the local memory of the sensing module, and to use the set of conditioning coefficients to produce a substantially linearized output signal.

摘要： The present invention is a method for making a plastic overcap using a mold tool stack. The mold tool stack has a core and a cavity plate forming a cavity therebetween. The core has a resin passageway therein with a gate in a top surface of the core. The gate has a valve proximate the top surface of the core to regulate resin flowing from the resin passageway and into the cavity. The steps of the mold method are as follows: the mold tool stack is closed to form the cavity; the valve is opened to allow resin to enter the cavity; the valve is closed; the resin is allowed to cool; and the mold tool stack is opened to allow removal of the plastic overcap from within the mold tool stack. The top side of the plastic overcap produced is blemish-free, facilitating placement of labels and other markings thereon.

摘要： This disclosure relates generally to flow sensors, and more particularly, to flow sensors that include a pressure related output signal. In one example, a flow sensor assembly may include a housing with an inlet flow port, an outlet flow port and a fluid channel extending therebetween, with a flow sensing element positioned in the housing and exposed to the fluid channel. A filter insert may be situated in the fluid channel, sometimes upstream of the flow sensor. When so configured, the flow sensor assembly may output a pressure or differential pressure based, at least in part, on a value of the flow rate through the fluid channel as sensed by the flow sensor.
