    摘要: A cyclist training system having a polymeric pivoting assembly which is adapted to allow a cyclist of a bicycle to nutate about the perpendicular axis when exerting lateral forces on the bicycle. The cyclist training system includes a tubular base support, a tubular bicycle support; and means to securely retain the bicycle within the cyclist training system. The polymeric pivoting assembly couples the tubular bicycle support to the tubular base support and is constructed from a polyurethane elastomer. Various embodiments of the polymeric pivoting assembly are provided having Shore A hardness in the range of 40-90 durameters and Shore D hardness in the range of 45-65 durameters. The polymeric pivoting assembly minimizes the unnatural bounce provided by other cyclist training systems known in the relevant art.

The method includes the steps of: (a) providing the apparatus (11); (b) charging the apparatus (11) with a plurality of stacks of annular porous carbon preforms (5), the preforms being separated from one another by spacers (15); (c) locating the charged apparatus (11) in a furnace at a temperature in the range of 950-1100° C. and a pressure in the range of 5-40 torr; and (d) circulating a natural gas reactant blended with up to 15% propane through the apparatus for a period of from 150 to 900 hours. Carbon-carbon composite preforms made by this method may be configured as aircraft landing system brake discs or racing car brake discs.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing polypropylene bottles comprising, forming a polypropylene preform by injection molding, cooling the polypropylene preform to ambient temperature, preheating the preform article, wherein the temperature around the circumference of the preform article has a temperature delta of less than 5 degrees Celsius at any height along the preform, inserting the preheated preform into a cavity of a stretch blow molding machine, and stretch blow molding the preform into a polypropylene bottle at a rate of at least 1000 bottles per cavity per hour, wherein the polypropylene bottle has a wall thickness delta at any given height along the bottle of less than 30% of the average wall thickness at the given height. The invention also relates to the polypropylene bottle made from this process.

    摘要: A medical robotic system provides 3D telestration over a 3D view of an anatomical structure by receiving a 2D telestration graphic input associated with one of a pair of stereoscopic images of the anatomical structure from a mentor surgeon, determining a corresponding 2D telestration graphic input in the other of the pair of stereoscopic images using a disparity map, blending the telestration graphic inputs into respective ones of the pair of stereoscopic images, and providing the blended results to a 3D display so that a 3D view of the telestration graphic input may be displayed as an overlay to a 3D view of the anatomical structure to an operating surgeon.
