摘要: A thin film transistor (TFT) substrate that is capable of providing a wide viewing angle and high contrast ratio without a decrease is aperture ratio is presented. The TFT substrate may be, for example, used with a patterned vertical alignment (PVA) mode LCD. The TFT substrate includes gate lines and data lines extending in non-parallel directions and a pixel electrode formed in a pixel region. The pixel region has two transmission regions separated from each other by a reflection region, and at least one of the gate lines is formed in the reflection region. A storage capacitor may also be formed in the reflection region. This configuration avoids the use of a bridge region between the two transmission regions that is responsible for aperture ratio decrease in the conventional configuration.

摘要: A liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus and method for automatically sensing and compensating a delay time of a gate signal fed to the LCD display panel. The LCD panel includes a signal converter for generating a power clock signal, a delay controller for generating a delay control signal corresponding to the delay value of the gate signal by comparing the power clock signal with a signal derived from the data lines, and a pixel voltage signal generator for supplying a pixel voltage signal to the data lines of the LCD panel in response to the delay control signal.

摘要: A method and apparatus for driving the data in a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel are presented. The method and apparatus prevent or reduce defects at the boundary between pixel blocks when the pixel blocks are sequentially driven on a block-by-block basis. The method includes applying data signals to a first data block, precharging a second data block that is adjacent to the first data block to a predetermined precharge voltage, and applying data signals to the second data block. The precharging prevents a large voltage difference at the boundary, thereby reducing defects.

摘要: There is provided a method of controlling a mechanical shutter that can ensure faster shutter speed by preventing a reduction of the shutter speed of the mechanical shutter caused by signal loss and physical loss caused by inertia. A method of controlling a mechanical shutter according to an aspect of the invention may include performing a row reset operation to remove image information remaining in an image sensor according to input of a trigger event generated by a user to acquire an image; transmitting a shutter close operation start signal for a mechanical shutter to the mechanical shutter before the row reset operation ends after a predetermined delay time from a time when the row reset operation starts; exposing the imager sensor right after the row reset operation ends; and fully closing the mechanical shutter.

摘要: Provided is an apparatus for automatically adjusting white balance, the apparatus including an Image Signal Processing (ISP) unit that processes image data; a first histogram setting unit that is connected to the ISP unit, stores the number of pixels corresponding to each Cb and Cr value of the image data applied from the ISP unit so as to set a first histogram, and sets an effective range of the first histogram; a second histogram setting unit that is connected to the first histogram setting unit, subdivides the first histogram included in the effective range so as to set a second histogram, and applies a weight to the second histogram; and a lean setting unit that is connected to the second histogram setting unit, applies preset lean values to the second histogram, to which the weight has been applied, so as to calculate a lean correction value, and delivers the calculated correction value to the ISP unit.
