摘要: Disclosed is a polyolefin-based adhesive. The adhesive comprises a maleated polyolefin. The maleated polyolefin is let-down in a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE). The let-down LLDPE is selected from those which have a melt index MI2 within the range of 0.1 dg/min to 5 dg/min, preferably from 1 dg/min to 3 dg/min, and comprises a TREF soluble fraction having an intrinsic viscosity less than 0.9 dl/g. The adhesive composition can be used in multilayer polyolefin films and multilayer pipes.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for preparing polyolefin-based adhesives. In the method, a maleated polyolefin is blended, in sequence, with a polyolefin elastomer and then with a linear low density polyethylene. The polyolefin-based adhesive made according to the method of the invention shows improved clarity and adhesion in multilayer polyolefin films.

摘要: Disclosed is an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition comprises from 30 wt % to 65 wt % of a polyolefin, 15 wt % to 65 wt % of a conjugated diene-based elastomer, 0.5 wt % to 15 wt % of an olefin elastomer, and 0.5 wt % to 25 wt % of a maleated polyolefin. The weight ratio of olefin elastomer to conjugated diene based elastomer is within the range of 0.04 to 1. The adhesive of the invention has improved adhesion to styrenic polymer layer, barrier layer, and polyolefin layer. It is suitable for extruded multilayer films, sheets, and many other related applications.

摘要: A laminate and a process for making it are disclosed. The laminate comprises a metal substrate and a polymer layer that adheres to at least one plasma-treated surface of the metal substrate. The polymer layer comprises a blend of a first polyolefin and a grafted polyolefin. The laminate can be prepared by plasma-treating at least one surface of a metal substrate and extruding onto the plasma-treated surface a polymer layer comprising a blend of a first polyolefin and a grafted polyolefin.
