摘要: In some implementations, an access device may sense movement in six degrees of freedom for interacting with information in a user interface. In some implementations, a security feature may be included for verifying an authorization of a user to use the access device. Additionally, in some implementations, the access device may establish communication with an available computing device for accessing and interacting with information that may include remotely stored information, cloud data, cloud services, and the like.

摘要: A user interface for an information retrieval system is described. In an embodiment an output region for showing retrieved documents is displayed on an interactive surface. One or more movable user interface items, such as digital buttons or tangible objects, may be positioned in an active region. Each movable user interface item has a stored query associated with it and for example, the queries may be words or images. In an embodiment a user interface controller apparatus identifies any movable user interface items in the active region and identifies a spatial relationship between those items and the output region. In an embodiment, a query is accessed for each of the user interface items in the active region and those queries and the information about the spatial relationship are used to retrieve documents from a document database.

摘要: A method and system of resource allocation for execution of a job are provided. The method includes receiving feedback (134) regarding the execution of previously submitted jobs on one or more resource nodes (101-104), and estimating the resources required for execution of a submitted job based on the feedback (134) and the parameters of the job. One, or a plurality of resource nodes in parallel, having the estimated resources are allocated the job. The feedback may be implicit feedback indicating the success or failure of the execution of a job. The one or more resource nodes (101-104) allocated for execution of a job may have less than a user requested resource allocation for the job.

摘要: A method and system for ordering and aggregating log streams. Log streams for events from different sources are received. If different sources have different recording cycles, or time epochs, that lead to different temporal granularities, then all of the log streams are combined into a single time epoch that is equal to the longest time epoch. Log streams from sources having shorter time epochs continue to retain information about their original time epochs, in order to retain information about the order of the events in those log streams. The log streams are re-ordered, both before and after being integrated into the aggregate log, by acquiring additional data from the different sources, thus permitting the likely cause/effect relationship between events.

摘要: A variable output planetary gear set includes an input shaft, and input gear affixed to the input shaft so as to rotate with a rotation of the input shaft, a brake rotor, a rotor input gear affixed to the brake rotor, a planetary gear set, an output shaft cooperative with the planetary gear set, and an electromechanical brake cooperative with the brake rotor so as to selectively apply a braking force so as to slow a rotation of the rotor input gear. The electromechanical brake is, in particular, an eddy current brake. The planetary gear set includes a planetary input gear, a planetary carrier, plurality of planetary gears, a sun gear and a ring gear. The input gear is engaged with the planetary input gear. The ring gear is engaged with the rotor input gear.
