    摘要： A method is described for the control of nematodes and soil-borne insects in agricultural crops which comprises applying to the situs of infestation a composition containing as active ingredient a compound of the formulaR--Z--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --Qwherein R is an alkyl radical of one or two carbon atoms carrying one-to-four fluorine substituents and one-to-three chlorine or bromine substituents represented as CF.sub.p X.sub.(3-p) -- or CF.sub.r X.sub.(3-r) --CF.sub.s X.sub.(2-s) --; Z is --(CH.sub.2 --CHX)-- or --(CH.dbd.CH)--; X is chlorine or bromine; Q is methyl, isopropyl, tert-butyl, or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl; n is 5 to 12 as required to yield in the compound a chain of 10 to 16 carbon atoms; p is 1 or 2; r is 2 or 3; s is 0 or 1 or 2. A process for preparation of active ingredient compounds is described, and utility of compositions against nematodes and soil-borne insects is exemplified.

    摘要： This invention relates to pteridine and 8-deazapteridine compounds and compositions containing the same which are useful for controlling insects in agricultural crops. These pteridines may be represented by the following structure: ##STR1## wherein R and R.sup.1 are independently selected from amino, lower alkylamino, di(lower alkyl)amino (e.g., --N(CH.sub.3).sub.2), or di(lower alkyl)aminomethyleneamino (e.g., --N.dbd.CHN(CH.sub.3).sub.2);R.sup.2 is hydrogen, amino, lower alkyl (e.g., --CH.sub.3, --CH(CH.sub.3).sub.2), di(lower alkyl)aminomethyleneamino, hydroxy, lower alkoxy, phenyl or substituted phenyl, haloalkylphenylalkyl (e.g., 3-trifluoromethylphenylmethyl);Q is N or CH;R.sup.3 is -(n).sub.m -R.sup.4, where m is 0 or 1; wherein, when m is 1,n is a bridging atom or moiety selected from oxygen, sulfur, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, lower alkylene (e.g., --CH.sub.2 --, or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --), lower alkenylene (e.g., --CH.dbd.CH--), lower alkynylene (e.g., --C.tbd.C--), lower haloalkenylene (e.g., --C(Cl).dbd.CH--), carbonyl, aminomethyl (e.g., --CH.sub.2 NH--), or (substituted amino)methyl (e.g., --CH.sub.2 N(CH.sub.3)--); andR.sup.4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl (e.g., --CH.sub.3, or --CH(CH.sub.3).sub.2), thien-2-yl, pyridin-3-yl, or ##STR2## wherein (i) V, W, X, Y, and Z are as defined herein.

    摘要： It has now been found that certain novel oximino and hydrazono derivatives of N-benzyl-4-benzhydryl- and 4-benhydrolpiperidines, and their corresponding N-oxides and agriculturally acceptable salts are useful as insecticides. These compounds are represented by Formula I: where R is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, dialkylamino; R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylcarbonyl and alkylaminocarbonyl; X is oxygen, or NR.sup.2, Q is fluoro and hydroxy; Z is halogen, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, pentahalothio, haloalkylthio, haloalkylsulfinyl, haloalkylsulfonyl, and --OCF.sub.2 O-- attached to two adjacent carbon atoms of the phenyl ring; n is 0 or 1; and, when X is NR.sup.2, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 taken together may be --C.sub.m H.sub.2.spsb.m, or --C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OC.sub.2 H.sub.4 --, where m is 3-9. Preferred compounds include those where R is hydrogen; R.sup.1 is alkyl; Q is hydroxy; X is oxygen; and Z is trifluoromethyl or trifluoromethoxy.
