Abstract:
A pulsation attenuator for a fluidic system with a fluidic pump. The pulsation attenuator includes a fluidic channel, a first fluidic device adapted to attenuate pulsations with a shallow rolloff slope, and a second fluidic device adapted to attenuate pulsations with a shallow rolloff slope. The first fluidic device and the second fluidic device are connected to the fluidic channel such that they cooperatively attenuate pulsations with a steep rolloff slope. Preferably, the first fluidic device includes a first fluidic resistor and a first fluidic capacitor, and the second fluidic device includes a second fluidic resistor and a second fluidic capacitor. Preferably, the pulsation attenuator is arranged, similar a second-order low-pass filter, in the following order: (1) first fluidic resistor, (2) first fluidic capacitor, (3) second fluidic resistor, and (4) second fluidic capacitor.

The integrated circuit includes a two-dimensional array of at least 512 transducer cells, each transducer cell is adapted to receive a beam signal, generate an ultrasonic beam, detect an ultrasonic echo at multiple locations, and combine the ultrasonic echoes into a single multiplexed echo signal. Each transducer cell includes at least one ultrasonic beam generator and at least four ultrasonic echo detectors. The integrated circuit also includes a series of beam signal leads adapted to carry the beam signals to the transducer cells and a series of echo signal leads adapted to carry the multiplexed echo signals from the transducer cells.

A transducer device comprises circuitry configured to transmit signals, or to receive signals, or both. The transducer device also comprises a transducer block comprising a plurality of piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers (PMUT), wherein each of the PMUTs; and an interconnect configured to provide signals from the transducer block to the circuitry and to provide signals from the circuitry to the transducer block.
Abstract:
A method of generating a filter (40) for a nuclear medicine system (20) where the filter selects valid detected radiation events for image processing. A dataset (60) is provided that is indicative of a plurality of emitted radiation events occurring over a predetermined period of time. Signals representative of the response of a detector to the dataset of the plurality of emitted radiation events are generated. A pattern is determined (66) based on a correlation of a plurality of signals resulting from the response of the detector to a plurality of single radiation events in the dataset. A filter is generated (74) based on the correlation pattern. A method and apparatus of using the generated filter is also disclosed.
Abstract:
In a multinode data processing system in which nodes exchange information over a network or through a switch, a structure and mechanism are provided which enables data packets to be sent and received in any order. Normally, if in-order transmission and receipt are required, then transmission over a single path is essential to insure proper reassembly. However, the present mechanism avoids this necessity and permits Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) operations to be carried out simultaneously over multiple paths. This provides a data striping mode of operation in which data transfers can be carried out much faster since packets of single or multiple RDMA messages can be portioned and transferred over several paths simultaneously, thus providing the ability to utilize the full system bandwidth that is available.
Abstract:
In a multinode data processing system in which nodes exchange information over a network or through a switch, the mechanism which enables out-of-order data transfer via Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) also provides a corresponding ability to carry out broadcast operations, multicast operations, third party operations and conditional RDMA operations. In a broadcast operation a source node transfers data packets in RDMA fashion to a plurality of destination nodes. Multicast operation works similarly except that distribution is selective. In third party operations a single central node in a cluster or network manages the transfer of data in RDMA fashion between other nodes or creates a mechanism for allowing a directed distribution of data between nodes. In conditional operation mode the transfer of data is conditioned upon one or more events occurring in either the source node or in the destination node.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dilutable, non-aqueous concentrate and an aqueous dilution used for aqueous delivery of fluorinated oligomeric silanes to a substrate, a method of treating a substrate with the aqueous dilution composition to render it oil and water repellent, and articles having coatings made from the aqueous dilution.
Abstract:
A method for coating a substrate comprises: coating at least a portion of the substrate with a precursor composition comprising a liquid vehicle and at least one fluorinated organosilane; and contacting at least a portion of the coated substrate with a catalyst composition to provide a substrate having a crosslinked fluoropolymeric coating on at least a portion thereof.
Abstract:
In a graphical user interface for accessing a large number of files, such as text files, graphics files, or spreadsheets, a system allows quick glances of “thumbnails” or highly reduced versions of the files. When a folder is opened, every file in the folder is opened as a background operation and thumbnail data, such as a reduced image or text summary of the file, is derived and retained in a cache folder for quick access. When a cursor is touched, without a mouse-click, to a particular icon in the opened folder, the thumbnail for the file identified by the icon is accessed from the cache folder and displayed.
Abstract:
An over-voltage protection circuit for use in low power integrated circuits is provided. The over-voltage protection circuit distributes certain connection and conditioning circuitry to a component network external to the integrated circuit. As a result, the integrated circuit need not be created with specialized high voltage components, significantly reducing its cost and complexity, and allowing it to be used in a wider range of end-user applications.
