摘要: A polyaspartate composition can include a reaction product of a diamine and an amine-reactive component. The amine reactive-component can include a diester and an acrylate combined at an equivalent ratio of diester equivalents to acrylate equivalents of from less than 0.9:greater than 0.1 to greater than 0.3:less than 0.7. The diamine and the amine-reactive component can be combined at an equivalent ratio of diamine equivalents to amine-reactive component equivalents of from 1:0.8 to 0.8:1.

摘要: Disclosed are processes for in-mold coating of a plastic substrate. The processes include: (a) molding a plastic substrate in a first mold cavity of a mold comprising at least two cavities to form a molded plastic substrate; (b) introducing the molded plastic substrate into a second mold cavity of the mold; (c) introducing a coating composition into the second mold cavity containing the molded plastic substrate in order to coat the substrate, the coating composition comprising: (i) a polymer comprising isocyanate-reactive groups; and (ii) a polyisocyanate; (d) curing the composition in the second mold cavity; and (e) opening the mold cavity.

摘要: The present invention provides a coating composition comprising 1% to 99% of a blend of two or more aspartic ester functional amines, 20% to 70% of an acrylate-containing compound; and 10% to 70% of one or more polyisocyanates, wherein the coating composition is 100% solids and wherein the coating composition has a maximum viscosity of no more than 600 cps at one hour. The ready-to-apply coating produced from this composition has extended working times without exhibiting “zippering” and may find use on countertops and floors.
