    Abstract: An assist apparatus includes a second detection section, a first calculation section, and a notification section. The second detection section detects, as a region candidate which is a candidate for a region to which the own vehicle makes a lane change, one of one or more inter-vehicle regions sandwiched between two approaching vehicles one of which is located ahead of the other. The first calculation section calculates an acceptable distance, a vehicle A being one of the two approaching vehicles and having a relatively small relative distance to the own vehicle and a vehicle B being the other of the two approaching vehicles and having a relatively large relative distance to the own vehicle. The notification section notifies each approaching vehicle of a lane change intention, when the relative distance between the own vehicle and the vehicle A is less than the acceptable distance.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a lane change assistance device, including: a change time setting unit configured to set a change time required for the lane change; a yaw angle acquisition unit configured to acquire a yaw angle of an own vehicle before starting the lane change; and a steering control unit configured to control a steering unit of the own vehicle to perform the lane change in the change time set by the change time setting unit, wherein when the yaw angle acquired by the yaw angle acquisition unit is a yaw angle in a state where the own vehicle approaches a target lane designated during the lane change, the change time setting unit sets the change time shorter than in other states, and when the yaw angle acquired by the yaw angle acquisition unit is a yaw angle in a state where the own vehicle stays away from the target lane, the change time setting unit sets the change time longer than in the other states.

    Abstract: An inter-vehicle calculation unit calculates a required inter-vehicle distance required between the own vehicle and forward/rear vehicles traveling in the lane to which the own vehicle moves during the lane change. The required inter-vehicle distance includes a first inter-vehicle distance and a second inter-vehicle distance. The first inter-vehicle distance is the distance required to allow the own vehicle or the forward/rear vehicles to adjust their velocity after the own vehicle changes lanes, and the first inter-vehicle distance is calculated by a first calculation unit. The second inter-vehicle distance is the distance required between the own vehicle and the forward/rear vehicles after the own vehicle or the forward/rear vehicles adjust their velocity, and the second inter-vehicle distance is calculated by a second calculation unit. A determination unit determines that the own vehicle can change lanes if the relative distance is equal to or greater than the required inter-vehicle distance.

    Abstract: A detection unit detects one of a plurality of inter-vehicle areas as an area candidate where the own vehicle can perform lane change. A calculation unit calculates a required inter-vehicle distance which should be secured between the own vehicle and a nearby vehicle upon lane change to the area candidate. An extraction unit extracts, within preset allowable ranges, a standby time and a target speed used for estimating an estimated inter-vehicle distance as lane change conditions which are conditions for the estimated inter-vehicle distance to be equal to or more than the required inter-vehicle distance. When the lane change conditions are extracted, and a determining unit determines that lane change is possible, a setting unit sets the area candidate as the lane change area.

    Abstract: A reception unit receives a command which is either a leftward lane change command or a rightward lane change command. A traveling control unit controls the lane change, based on the lane change command. A lighting control unit turns on a direction indicator. A command determination unit causes the traveling control unit to cancel control of both the leftward and rightward lane changes and causes the lighting control unit to turn off the direction indicator, in spite of the reception unit receiving a first lane change command to either leftward or rightward direction as a lane change, and the traveling control unit starting first lane change control, if a second lane change command, which is in a direction opposite to the first lane change, is received before part of the vehicle enters an adjacent lane which is adjacent to a traveling lane where the vehicle travels.

    Abstract: A travelling support apparatus includes: a communication section that communicates with a vehicle around an own vehicle; a state determination section that determines whether a driver is capable of driving appropriately; a path setting section that sets an evacuation path for bringing the own vehicle to an emergency stop on the basis of a certain algorithm when the state determination section determines that the driver is incapable of driving appropriately; an information acquisition section that acquires various types of information required for execution of the algorithm; an evacuation control section that performs evacuation traveling to bring the own vehicle to the emergency stop along the evacuation path set by the path setting section; and an information transmitting section that transmits, to the vehicle around the own vehicle via the communication section, information indicating that the own vehicle performs the evacuation traveling.
