Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus includes multiple antennas, a receiver for performing diversity reception using the antennas, a transmitter, a selector circuit connected to the antennas, a divider, and a phase shifter. The divider is located in a transmission line which connects the selector circuit to the transmitter and distributes a signal outputted from the transmitter among the antennas during transmission. The phase shifter is located in at least one of multiple transmission lines, each of which connects the divider to a corresponding one of the antennas.

Abstract: A vehicle-mounted antenna device includes a base, a board, a circuit section, and a housing. The base is mountable on a roof of a vehicle. The board has an antenna element section and is stood on the base. The circuit section is implemented on the board and serves as at least part of a wireless communication circuit electrically connected to the antenna element section. The housing is made of a resin material and forms a projection of an outer shape of the vehicle. The board and the circuit section are located in space formed by the base and the housing. A heat transfer path having a thermal conductivity higher than that of air is formed between the circuit section and the housing without passing the base.

Abstract: A receiving unit receives a signal in a frequency band used in vehicle-to-vehicle communications or shared by vehicle-to-vehicle communications and road-to-vehicle communications. A demodulation unit demodulates the signal received with the receiving unit. A received signal strength detection unit detects a received signal strength of the signal received with the receiving unit. A demodulation state determination unit determines whether the signal, which is received with the receiving unit, is demodulated successfully. A notification processing unit notifies a driver of a possibility of existence of another vehicle in a condition where the demodulation state determination unit determines that the signal is not demodulated successfully and where the received signal strength is greater than or equal to a predetermined strength threshold, which is for determining whether signals sent from multiple other vehicles collide against each other.

Abstract: A communication device includes: a reception antenna; a wireless communication element that synchronizes with a reception signal in an electric wave input from the reception antenna, and receives the reception signal; and a wire communication element connected to the wireless communication element and connected to an external communication device via a communication cable so that the wire communication element transmits a signal to the communication cable. The wire communication element determines whether the wireless communication element synchronizes with the reception signal. When the wire communication element determines that the wireless communication element synchronizes with the reception signal, the wire communication element restricts transmitting the signal to the communication cable.

Abstract: A radio communications system includes a communication radio and an antenna module positioned external to the communication radio. An antenna cable connects the radio and the antenna module. The radio superposes a power voltage for operating the antenna module on a signal line of the antenna cable and transmits to the antenna module through the antenna cable a control signal that controls a gain of a transmission amplifier and duplexers while the transmission signal is not transmitted therethrough. In such manner, a control of the antenna module is enabled without affecting the transmission signal.
