Abstract: The present disclosure provides a crosslinked polymeric composition. The crosslinked polymeric composition contains (A) a silane functionalized ethylene-based polymer and (B) inorganic hollow microspheres having (i) a D90 particle size from 10 μm to 100 μm, (ii) a crush strength from 17 MPa to 140 MPa, and (iii) a density from 0.10 g/cc to 0.40 g/cc. The crosslinked polymeric composition has a tensile strength from 11 MPa to 40 MPa and a tensile elongation from 12% to 100%.

Abstract: Described is a curable composition comprising a silane modified polymer; an epoxy resin terminated with epoxy terminal group; a compatibilizer having at least one silane group and at least one epoxy terminal group or at least one nitrogen-containing groups; and optionally a hardening agent; wherein the composition further optionally comprises at least one of a nitrogen-containing unsaturated heterocyclic compound catalyst and a nitrogen-containing phenol catalyst. The curable composition exhibits high hermeticity, fast curing speed, quick adhesion build up, dry surface and strong adhesion strength. A method for applying the curable composition on the surface of a substrate is also provided.

Abstract: An aqueous polyurethane dispersion compositions are disclosed. The compositions include a polyurethane prepolymer dispersed in an aqueous medium, the polyurethane prepolymer comprising an isocyanate and a crystalline polyester polyol having a hydroxyl content of 20 to 150 mg KOH/g and a melt temperature of less than or equal to 90° C. Methods of forming a laminate are also disclosed. The methods include providing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, applying the polyurethane dispersion to a surface of the first substrate, bringing the side of the first substrate into contract with a surface of the second substrate, and curing the aqueous dispersion, thereby laminating the first substrate to the second substrate. Laminates formed by the methods and including the compositions are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides polymer blends that can be used in a multilayer structure and to multilayer structures comprising one or more layers formed from such blends. In one aspect, a polymer blend comprises (a) a copolymer comprising ethylene and at least one of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid having an acid content of 2 to 21 weight percent based on the weight of the copolymer, wherein the amount of copolymer (a) comprises 20-80 weight percent of the blend based on the total weight of the blend, and (b) a copolymer comprising ethylene and at least one of methyl acrylate and ethyl acrylate having an acrylate content of 5 to 30 weight percent based on the weight of the copolymer, wherein the amount of copolymer (b) comprises 10 to 50 weight percent of the blend based on the total weight of the blend, wherein the amount of copolymer (a) and copolymer (b) is at least 70 weight percent of the blend based on the total weight of the blend.

Abstract: Provided is a coextruded multilayer film. The coextruded multilayer film has at least two layers, including a sealant layer and a second layer in contact with the sealant layer. The sealant layer contains (A) a first ethylene-based polymer having a density from 0.865 g/cc to 0.930 g/cc and a melt index from 0.5 g/10 min to 25 g/10 min; (B) an unsaturated primary fatty acid amide having a melting point of 100° C. or less; and (C) a diprotic fatty acid having a melting point greater than 100° C. and a decomposition temperature greater than 200° C. The second layer contains a second ethylene-based polymer. Also provided is a laminate containing said sealant layer.
