Abstract:
A low application temperature, high heat resistant hot melt adhesive comprising an ethylene n-butyl acrylate copolymer having a melt index (MI) of 750 grams/10 minutes or higher and an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymer having a MI of 750 grams/10 minutes or higher are particularly well suited for case and carton sealing operations.
Abstract:
Hot melt adhesive that is applied at or below 300° F. and that can withstand temperatures when bonded and stressed that are within 100° F. of their application temperature.
Abstract:
A casting apparatus for pouring molten metal into molds comprises a vessel having a molten metal-receiving chamber generally extending between a filling end and a pouring end. The vessel includes a nozzle disposed in a bottom surface of the chamber proximate to the pouring end. A stopper cooperates with the nozzle to control a downward gravity flow of molten metal through the nozzle. A first support pivotably supports the vessel to provide a horizontal tilt axis substantially coincident with the nozzle. A second support is connected to the vessel at a point away from the tilt axis and has a drive for controlling a pivot position of the vessel. A tilt angle controller detects a level of molten metal within the chamber and engages the drive to maintain the level at a predetermined level.
Abstract:
An enhanced efficacy aluminum only salt active. The method for making such active comprises the steps of (a) providing an aqueous solution of an aluminum salt having a Band III polymer concentration of at least about 20%; (b) adding to the aqueous solution of step (a) an aqueous solution of a monomeric aluminum salt to form a mixture; and (c) rapidly drying the mixture to form a product powder. The active comprises an aluminum only salt having a Band III polymer concentration of at least about 20%, an aluminum to anion ratio of from about 1.1:1 to about 1.8:1 and a level of monomeric aluminum of from about 2% to about 20% of the total aluminum.

Abstract:
A device for assisting the operation of a natural heart is provided. A supporting jacket shaped to surround at least a portion of a heart has an expandable membrane attached to the inside wall of the jacket so that the membrane faces the heart. An inflatable cavity is formed between the jacket and the membrane. The cavity is connected to an expandable fluid reservoir via a length of flexible tubing. Pumps are used to pump fluid back and forth between the cavity and the reservoir. The cavity if inflated as the heart contract to aid the heart in pumping blood. The cavity is deflated as the heart relaxes to allow the heart to refill with blood. The cycle of pumping fluid is synchronized with the cardiac cycle.

A horizontal support rail slidably supports the vessel to provide a horizontal movement perpendicular to the tilt axis. A horizontal drive controls the horizontal movement in response to the pivot position so that a trajectory of the flow of molten metal is directed toward a substantially fixed point within the sprue cup.
Abstract:
A mold temperature control system comprises a mold section having a cavity, a fluid circuit to distribute a flow of a conditioning fluid, the fluid circuit being positioned spaced apart from the cavity, a temperature sensor positioned in the mold to generate a signal representative of a temperature in the mold, a controllable supply of the conditioning fluid, and a controller for automatically initiating flow of the conditioning fluid through the fluid circuit in response to an initiation temperature and for automatically terminating flow of the conditioning fluid through the fluid circuit in response to a termination temperature.
Abstract:
A support sock is provided that stabilizes the ankle without the use of bulky bandages or specialized orthotic type shoes. The sock has elastic material around the ankle area extending down to the arch where the arch and instep are securely bound. The binding of these areas with elastic material restricts the foot of the user while not prohibiting movement. The sock can be worn with or without shoe gear.

Systems and methods for providing a payment application personalized for a merchant physical location include receiving a first customer location from a first customer device that is running a payment application. A first merchant physical location is then determined to be associated with the first customer location and, in response, first merchant physical location personalization information is retrieved. The first merchant physical location personalization information is then provided for display as a user interface on at least one personalized merchant physical location screen that is provided on the first customer device using the payment application. The at least one personalized merchant physical location screen is configured to send an instruction to the payment application provider device to make a payment from a first customer account associated with the first customer to a first merchant account associated with the first merchant physical location.
