摘要： A system and method for performing hydrothermal treatment includes a scraper formed as a hollow cylinder. The scraper is positioned in the reactor vessel with the scraper axis substantially co-linear with the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical reactor vessel. A mechanism is provided to rotate the scraper about the longitudinal axis of the reactor vessel. One or more elongated scraper bars are positioned inside the reactor vessel between the scraper and the longitudinal axis of the reactor vessel. Each scraper bar may be held stationary with respect to the reactor vessel, or each scraper bar may rotated relative to an axis passing through the scraper bar to remove any solids that have accumulated on the scraper or on the scraper bar. To prevent accumulation of precipitating solids on the scraper bar itself, each scraper bar may have internal cooling channels or the capability of releasing a purging fluid.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an information obtainer, a memory, a candidate determining unit, and an image forming device. The information obtainer obtains feature information from the target recording medium. The memory stores at least one set of recording medium information regarding the target recording medium associated with the feature information and at least one set of image forming condition information corresponding to the recording medium information. The recording medium information is identification information. The candidate determining unit determines a candidate recording medium information from the recording medium information stored in the memory based on the feature information of the target recording medium obtained by the information obtainer. The image forming device forms an image on the target recording medium based on the image forming condition information in the memory according to the candidate recording medium information determined by the candidate determining unit.

摘要： A detecting device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a detector configured to optically detect at least one of a position of a sheet, a position of an image formed on the sheet, and the image formed on the sheet, and a rotary body disposed at a position opposed to the detector and having a shaft, the rotary body being rotatable about the shaft in a sheet conveying direction of the sheet. The sheet is conveyed to space between the detector and the rotary body. The rotary body has a reference plane on an outer circumferential surface, a line formed on the reference plane and extending in a width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction. The detector detects the line on the reference plane while the rotary body is rotating when the sheet does not intervene between the detector and the rotary body.

The first gamma characteristic includes a characteristic having the effect of suppressing a low luminance in comparison with the second gamma characteristic.
