摘要: An apparatus for cleaning a continuous emissions monitor system that is in fluid communication with a flue stack conducting exhaust gas from a combustion source. The apparatus comprises a housing and a probe mounted in the housing. The probe is tubular and in fluid communication with the flue stack to acquire a sample of gas from the flue stack. The probe tends to have deposits from the exhaust gas accumulate on the inner walls of the probe. A device imparts cleaning energy to the probe for dislodging accumulated deposits from the inner walls of the probe.

摘要: A method for processing flue-gas, in an exemplary embodiment, includes providing an absorber unit having a membrane contactor, channeling a combustion flue gas along a first surface of the membrane contactor, and channeling an ammonia-based liquid reagent along a second opposing surface of the membrane contactor. The method also includes partially separating the ammonia-based liquid from the flue gas such that the ammonia-based liquid and the flue gas contact at gas-liquid interface areas, defined by a plurality of pores of the membrane contactor, to separate CO2 from the flue gas by a chemical absorption of CO2 within the ammonia-based liquid to produce a CO2-rich ammonia-based liquid.

摘要: A power generation system and method includes a first gas turbine system comprising a first combustion chamber configured to combust a first fuel stream of primarily hydrogen that is substantially free of carbon-based fuels. The first gas turbine system also includes a first compressor configured to supply a first portion of compressed oxidant to the first combustion chamber and a first turbine configured to receive a first discharge from the first combustion chamber and generate a first exhaust and electrical energy. The power generation system further includes a second gas turbine system comprising a second combustion chamber configured to combust a second fuel stream to generate a second discharge. The first compressor of the first gas turbine system is configured to supply a second portion of compressed oxidant to the second combustion chamber. The second turbine system also includes a second turbine configured to receive the second discharge from the second combustion chamber to generate a second exhaust and electrical energy and a second compressor configured to receive the second discharge comprising carbon dioxide. The second compressor is also configured to discharge a recycle stream to the second combustion chamber and a split stream to a separator system adapted to recover carbon dioxide.

摘要: A system and method of predicting telemetry signal dropout creates a prediction of patient destination. The method includes defining a telemetry coverage area, receiving a location of a monitored patient, recording the received location, calculating a trajectory and speed, and comparing the location, trajectory, and speed of the patient to historical patient movement trends to predict patient destination. The system includes a remote unit worn by a patient and at least one telemetry receiver, a location services computer, a patient location database, a location prediction computer, and a graphical display. The location services computer receives the location information and computes a location, speed, and trajectory of the patient. The location prediction computer compares the computed location, speed, and trajectory of the patient to previously acquired locations, speeds, and trajectories to predict a patient destination.
