Abstract:
An extension system for a pallet lift and translate tool is provided including a right fork extension arm having a length, including a right angle bar attached to a right rear cover bracket. A mirrored left fork extension arm is also provided having a length, including at least a left angle bar attached to a left rear cover bracket. With the right rear bracket placed around a right fork of the pallet lift and translate tool, and the left rear bracket placed around a left fork of the pallet lift and translate tool, the right and left angle bars extend away from the body along the forks and the right and left extension arms may be extended past a length of the right and left forks to accommodate lifting pallets having different sizes in relation to lengths of the right and left forks.
Abstract:
A method for producing an auxiliary video stream arranged for reverse trick mode playback from a video stream including a plurality of uni-directional predicted frames, the method including producing the auxiliary video stream by performing the following steps copying each uni-directional predicted frame included in the video stream into a memory, thereby producing a plurality of copied frames in the memory, replacing each one of the plurality of copied frames with one corresponding supplemental frame, thereby producing a plurality of corresponding supplemental frames, and producing a copy of the video stream arranged in reverse processing order, the producing a copy including replacing each frame which corresponds to one of the plurality of copied frames with the one corresponding supplemental frame from among the plurality of corresponding supplemental frames. Related methods and systems are also described.
Abstract:
A method for switching from playing a first compressed data segment to playing a second compressed recorded data segment, the method including playing an uncompressed copy of a start of the second compressed recorded data segment upon switching from playing the first compressed data segment, decoding the second compressed recorded data segment from a preceding random access point, the preceding random access point preceding, in the second compressed recorded data segment, a point at which playing is to be switched to the second compressed recorded data segment, stopping the decoding of the second compressed recorded data segment when reaching a point beyond a point currently being played in the uncompressed copy, and switching to playing the second compressed recorded data segment when playing the uncompressed copy of a start of the second compressed recorded data segment reaches the point at which the decoding of the second compressed recorded data segment was stopped. Related apparatus and methods are also provided.
Abstract:
A wound dressing apparatus includes a wound dressing member dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed. The wound dressing member including an internal vacuum reservoir and has a port in communication with the vacuum reservoir for applying subatmospheric pressure to the vacuum reservoir to facilitate removal of fluid from the wound bed. The wound dressing member includes a visual pressure indicator associated therewith for indicating a level of pressure within the vacuum reservoir. The visual pressure indicator includes color indicia having a plurality of colors corresponding to a condition of the pressure within the vacuum reservoir. The wound dressing member includes a lower absorbent member positionable adjacent the wound bed and an upper member which at least partially defines the vacuum reservoir. At least one of the top member and the lower absorbent member has the visual pressure indicator mounted thereto. The preferred visual pressure indicator includes an electronic position sensor. The visual pressure indicator further includes circuit means and visible alarm means. The circuit means is adapted to actuate the visible alarm means when the position sensor detects a relative positioning of the top member of the wound dressing member to provide a visual indication of the condition of the subatmospheric pressure within the vacuum reservoir.
Abstract:
The compounds are of the class thienoisoxazolyl- and thienylpyrrazolyl-phenoxy substituted propyl derivatives, useful as D4 antagonists. Said compounds are useful for the treatment of medical conditions mediated by inhibition of D4 receptor. These conditions comprise, for example, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychoses, Substance Abuse, Substance Dependence, Parkinson's Disease, Parkinsonism, Tardive Diskinesia, Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome, Conduct Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. A further aspect of the invention is to provide a pharmaceutical composition, intermediates, and a method of making said class of compounds.
Abstract:
A test system and method are disclosed for using tissue analogs The method includes the following steps: (1) isolating the cells to be implanted from donor tissue; (2) seeding the cells onto a particulate microcarrier bead; (3) culturing the cells on the microcarriers to achieve an expansion in the number of cells; and (4) further culturing the cell-particle aggregates to form a tissue analog. The resulting tissue analog and test system may be used for use in screening drugs for diseases and pathological conditions, for testing for toxicity of chemical agents, or for genomic or proteomic screening. The tissue analogs may also be subjected to conditions that will induce disease-like conditions such that the resulting diseased tissue analogs may be used to screen for therapeutic drugs that modify the diseased tissue analog physiology or block progression of the diseased conditions. Kits may be developed for the purpose of conducting multiple tests in conventional multi-well plate systems.

Abstract:
A portable system for subatmospheric pressure therapy in connection with healing a surgical wound, includes a wound dressing dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed of a subject, a portable subatmospheric pressure mechanism dimensioned to be carried or worn by the subject and a container for collecting exudates from the wound bed removed under the subatmospheric pressure supplied by the subatmospheric pressure mechanism. The portable subatmospheric pressure mechanism includes a housing, a subatmospheric pressure source disposed within the housing and in fluid communication with the wound dressing to supply subatmospheric pressure to the wound dressing and a power source mounted to or within the housing for supplying power to actuate the subatmospheric pressure source.
Abstract:
The invention relates to heterocyclic substituted carbonyl derivatives that display selective binding to dopamine D3 receptors. In another aspect, the invention relates to a method for treating central nervous system disorders associated with the dopamine D3 receptor activity in a patient in need of such treatment comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of said compounds for alleviation of such disorder. The central nervous system disorders that may be treated with these compounds include Psychotic Disorders, Substance Dependence, Substance Abuse, Dyskinetic Disorders (e.g. Parkinson's Disease, Parkinsonism, Neuroleptic-Induced Tardive Dyskinesia, Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome and Huntington's Disease), Dementia, Anxiety Disorders, Sleep Disorders, Circadian Rhythm Disorders and Mood Disorders. The subject invention is also directed towards processes for the preparation of the compounds described herein as well as methods for making and using the compounds as imaging agents for dopamine D3 receptors.
