摘要： An integrated circuit chip with a low voltage differential signaling receiver (LVDS). The receiver has first and second input lines, and an output line. The first input line is connected to a first input node on the chip, and the second input line connected via a termination resistor on the chip to a second input node on the chip. The second input line is connected to a third input node on the chip. The chip may be installed on a substrate with one or more identical chips, with the first nodes of each chip connected to a first conductor on the substrate, and a second conductor on the substrate connected to the third node of each chip. A second node on one of the chips is connected to the first conductor to involve the resistor.

The delay achieves a controlled, staggered generation of firing signals that reduces EMI and instantaneous power supply draw and reduces or eliminates certain shielding requirements. Various arrangements are provided, including the use of edge triggered digital delay elements, staggered firing signal generation from firing signal control logic and the use of analog delay elements.

The print head has power supply fault protection circuitry to guard against harmful and destructive effects on firing resistors resulting from power supply fluctuations. The power supply fault protection circuitry is integrated into a pen-based chip that also forms the firing elements and optionally the firing logic.

The fluid ejection device includes a fluid supply chamber to store fluid, an ejection chamber including a nozzle and a corresponding ejection member to selectively eject the fluid through the nozzle, and a channel to establish fluid communication between the fluid supply chamber and the ejection chamber. The fluid ejection device also includes a pressure sensor unit having a sensor plate to output a voltage value corresponding to a cross-sectional area of an amount of fluid in the at least ejection chamber.
