摘要:
A network device for processing data on a data network, the network device includes a port interface, in communication with a plurality of ports, configured to receive data packets from a data network and to send processed data packets to the data network, a memory management unit, in communication with and controlling memory external to the network device, configured store data on and retrieve data from the memory, a parser, in communication with the port interface and the memory management unit, configured to parse the received data packets to determine attributes of the data packets and a search engine, in communication with the parser, configured to perform table lookup searches in response to requests from the parser. The parser comprises at least two stages, where the at least two stages are each configured to parser particular portions of the received data packets.

According to one embodiment of the invention, a network device for processing data on a data network, includes a plurality of ports, where at least one higher speed port of the plurality of ports is configured to send and receive data between inter-networked devices, a memory management unit, in communication with and controlling memory external to the network device, configured store data on and retrieve data from the memory and a parser, in communication with the plurality of ports and the memory management unit, configured to parse the data received from the data network. The parser includes at least two independent parser units, with one of the independent parser units parsing data received by the at least one higher speed port and another of the independent parser units parsing data received by a remainder of the plurality of ports.

The present invention is directed to a fiber optic device consisting of a fiber bundle having multiple legs of silica fibers, using a plurality of microspheres construct to attach target cells, for the assay of cytotoxic compounds. Each leg of silica fibers consists of twenty-five or more silica fibers treated with biotin and streptavidin treated microspheres which chemically bind the microspheres to the silica fibers. Further, the present invention is directed to the unique microspheres. The microspheres have a core, preferably alginate, with an outer surface of chitosan. The present invention is further directed to the use of the described fiber optic device to isolate, research and develop biological medicaments and diagnostic cytotoxic compounds. The fiber optic device utilizes thousands of fibers and the unique microspheres to provide a high-throughput screening device.

Various systems and methods are described for insertion of optional stops in delivery routes. To this end, a plurality of delivery routes is provided in a computing device, where each delivery route has a plurality of stops. A determination is made in the computing devices as to whether an optional stop can be inserted between a pair of the stops in at least one of the delivery routes without violating a predefined set of criteria. The optional stop is ultimately inserted between a respective pair of stops in a selected one of the delivery routes.

A method for treating a diseased or damaged spinal disc comprises the steps of: (a) providing access to the nucleus pulposus through the annulus; (b) removing at least a portion of the nucleus pulposus to create an intradiscal space; (c) determining the size of the intradiscal space; and (d) sealably introducing under pressure a curable biomaterial through the annulus directly into the intradiscal space. The step of determining the size of the intradiscal space may be accomplished by expanding a compliant balloon within the intradiscal space using a contrast medium capable of visualization under fluoroscopy. The curable material is sealably introduced through a vented needle inserted through the opening. The curable biomaterial is introduced until a quantity of the material flows into the vent.

A method and apparatus for reforming a hydrocarbon fuel increases its energy content, improves its combustibility and reduces combustion by-products. The hydrocarbon fuel is cracked and ionized in a reactor vessel by means of a feedback loop of electro-chemical interactions with a reactor rod composed of a magnetic and catalytic material.

A method, system, and computer-readable medium for dynamically generating actual fulfillment plans for a current order or a potential order so as to enhance the future fulfillment process for expected future orders is described. In some situations, actual delivery information based on one or more such actual fulfillment plans will then be provided to a customer, such as by displaying actual delivery date and/or time before or during the ordering process based on one or more actual fulfillment plans that can be or will be used to fulfill the order. A variety of types of criteria can be used to evaluate the effects of using a fulfillment plan to fulfill a current order, including criteria that consider the modeled future cost of fulfilling expected future orders, such as an overall cost of fulfilling all orders during a specified time period that is at least partially in the future.
