    Abstract: A ringing suppressor circuit is connected to a differential signal transmission line that includes a high potential signal line and low potential signal line pair for transmitting high and low level differential signals, and includes a ringing suppressor and a stopper. When the differential signal changes to a high level, the ringing suppressor suppresses ringing by lowering the impedance between the signal lines by turning ON of a switching element. When a differential signal voltage drops below a voltage lowering determination voltage, the stopper stops the impedance lowering function of the ringing suppressor by turning OFF another switching element.

    Abstract: A communication node is connected to a transmission line which transmits a differential signal changeable between a high level and a low level and has a high potential signal line and a low potential signal line as a pair of signal lines. The communication node includes: an inter-line potential detector that detects an intermediate potential between the pair of signal lines; a node potential detector that detects an intermediate potential of an operation power source voltage which is supplied to the communication node; and a voltage adjuster that detects a difference between the intermediate potential detected by the inter-line potential detector and the intermediate potential detected by the node potential detector, and adjusts the operation power source voltage in accordance with the difference.

    Abstract: In a receiver circuit, a binary signal is generated based on a signal level of a received signal that has been received via a transmission line from a driver of a transmitter circuit. Then, a first stable state and a second stable state are detected based on a reference signal whose signal level changes in accordance with the received signal. In the first stable state, the received signal is stable at a first signal level. In the second stable state, the received signal is stable at a second signal level. When the first stable state is detected and the received signal is changed from the first signal level into the second signal level, the generated binary signal is retained at a signal level corresponding to the second signal level, until the second stable state is detected.

    Abstract: A ringing suppression circuit connected to a transmission line to suppress ringing caused by the transmission line transmitting a differential signal using a pair of signal lines, the differential signal varying between a high level and a low level, the pair of signal lines including a high potential signal line and a low potential signal line, the ringing suppression circuit including: an inter-line switching element that is connected between the pair of signal lines; a control portion that performs a ringing suppression operation in response to detecting a level change in the differential signal, wherein the ringing suppression operation turns on the inter-line switching element to decrease an impedance between the pair of signal lines; and a suppression operation prohibiting portion that prohibits the control portion from performing the ringing suppression operation in response to detecting a signal caused by a signal on the transmission line.

    Abstract: A ringing suppression circuit includes: a single line switching element, which is driven by a voltage, that is connected between a pair of signal lines; a controller that detects a change in a level of the differential signal and turns on the single line switching element to lower an impedance between the pair of signal lines; a period detector that detects a length of a suppressing period indicated by a setting signal, which is an input; and a suppressing period storage that stores the length of the suppressing period which is detected by the period detector. In addition, the pair of signal lines includes a high potential signal line and a low potential signal line. Moreover, the controller turns on the single line switching element for only the suppressing period having the length, which is stored in the suppressing period storage.

    Abstract: In a receiver circuit, a binary signal is generated based on a signal level of a received signal that has been received via a transmission line from a driver of a transmitter circuit.     Abstract: A relay device for data between communication cables having a signal line in full duplex communication, includes: communication units connected to the communication cables; and a main controller executing a relay process of the data. Each communication unit includes: an input/output unit of an analog signal; an analog/digital converter converting the analog signal into a digital signal; a generator generating another digital signal based on another analog signal input to another communication unit; and an echo canceller calculating a filter coefficient based on the other digital signal and the digital signal, and executing a cancellation process of removing a component derived from the other digital signal from the digital signal according to the filter coefficient. The communication unit or the main control unit includes a sign determination unit determining based on a time change of the filter coefficient whether a sign of disconnection exists in the signal line.

    Abstract: A capacitance type sensor includes a detection electrode, a reference electrode, and a sub-reference electrode for distinguishingly detecting a detection object. The sub-reference electrode has a reference voltage applied thereto and is displaceable relative to the detection electrode due to a pressure exerted from the detection object. A voltage application device applies a detection voltage to form an electric field in a space defined with the reference electrode device. A capacitance detector of the sensor detects a first capacitance and a second capacitance, and a detection unit of the sensor distinguishingly detects the detection object based on the first capacitance and the second capacitance. The first capacitance is measured between the detection electrode and the reference electrode, and the second capacitance is measured between the detection electrode and the sub-reference electrode.
