摘要: A method of obtaining and analyzing at least one tissue sample includes forming, in a tissue container, first tracking data associated with the at least one tissue sample. Second tracking data is formed, in a transport container. The second tracking data is associated with the at least one tissue sample. The at least one tissue sample is placed in the tissue container. The first and second tracking data from the tissue container and the transport container are scanned with an electronic scanning system to ensure that the first and second tracking data are both associated with the removed tissue sample.

摘要: An apparatus for delivery of a biopsy marker to a biopsy site includes a grip, a cannula, at least one biopsy marker, and a sterile guide. The cannula extends distally from the grip and includes a lumen extending at least partially therethrough. A maker exit opening is defined by the cannula and is in communication with the lumen. The at least one biopsy marker is disposed in the lumen for deployment through the marker exit opening. The sterile guide is slidable along the cannula and is configured to selectively fasten to the grip.
