Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for processing analyte data. In some example implementations, a method may include generating glucose sensor data indicative of a host's glucose concentration using a glucose sensor; calculating a glycemic variability index (GVI) value based on the glucose sensor data; and providing output to a user responsive to the calculated glycemic variability index value. The GVI may be a ratio of a length of a line representative of the sensor data and an ideal length of the line. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for generating graphical displays of analyte data and/or health information. In some implementations, the graphical displays are generating based on a self-referential dataset that are modifiable based on identified portions of the data. The modified graphical displays can indicate features in the analyte data of a host.

Abstract: Overlapping data streams and sensor transitions is described. In accordance with the described techniques, a first data stream of first analyte measurements is received, at a computing device and during an overlap period, from a first analyte sensor worn by a user and a second data stream of second analyte measurements is received, at the computing device and during the overlap period, from a second analyte sensor worn by the user. The first data stream and the second data stream are received concurrently during the overlap period. A combined analyte measurement is generated based on the first analyte measurements and the second analyte measurements. In one or more implementations, the combined analyte measurement is generated as a weighted average of the first analyte measurements and the second analyte measurements. The combined analyte measurement is then output on a display of the computing device.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and systems for technical support of continuous analyte monitoring and sensor systems. In certain aspects, a method includes sensing, by an analyte sensor, analyte levels of a patient to generate one or more sensed signals. The method further includes generating, by a transmitter, a plurality of event indications based on the one or more sensed signals. The method further includes transmitting, by the transmitter, the plurality of event indications to a processor. The method also includes receiving the plurality of event indications indicating one or more errors associated with the analyte sensor. The method further includes determining one or more root causes associated with the plurality of event indications based on a pattern associated with the plurality of event indications. The method also includes taking one or more actions to resolve the one or more root causes.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to provide guidance to a user regarding management of a physiologic condition such as diabetes. The determination may be based upon a patient glucose concentration level. The glucose concentration level may be provided to a stored model to determine a state. The guidance may be determined based at least in part on the determined state.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.
