摘要: A surgical apparatus includes an elongated cannula having an external sidewall surface and a lumen extending between a cannula proximal regional and a cannula distal region, the cannula is further configured to receive an endoscope, and has a handle located at the cannula proximal region, a first wire extending from the cannula distal region and adapted to slide longitudinally with respect to the cannula in both a distal and proximal direction via a control at the handle, and a ring connected to the first wire. The ring has a curved surface with concavity hollowed towards a region of the cannula configured to receive the endoscope.

摘要: A retractor and a surgical tool are positioned within a cannula, and a dissection cradle of the retractor is positioned at the distal end of the cannula. The retractor includes a first portion with an axis approximately parallel to the axis of the cannula and a second portion with an axis that can be skewed relative to the axis of the cannula. The dissection cradle is located at the distal end of the second portion of the retractor, and may include two substantially parallel, spaced legs with the retractor shaped in a loop between and in a plane skewed relative to the axes of the legs, and with the loop directed away from the surgical tool. Thus, in operation, a surgeon locates a vessel and side branch of interest and extends the retractor to cradle the vessel in the dissection cradle. Once cradled, the retractor may be deflected to urge the vessel away from the axis of the cannula to isolate the side branch for exposure to the surgical tool. Removable, transparent tips are selectively positioned at the distal end of the cannula for performing dissection and transection via a single cannula. Additionally, the tips are configured to align the apices of the tips with the central axis of the endoscope to maximize the visual field through the tips via the endoscope. Wing-like protrusions on an alternate tip for the cannula facilitate tissue dissection in forming a tunnel in tissue along a target vessel. Swept back forward edges on the wing-like protrusions promote easy tissue dissection using reduced force to advance the cannula and alternate tip through tissue surrounding the target vessel.

摘要: A method, system, and computer readable media are provided for managing multiple HTTP cookies that are present in a wireless communication system. When a secure or non-secure HTTP cookie is formed, a time of creation for that HTTP cookie is also created as part of the cookie header. Therefore, when a wireless device makes a subsequent communication to a web based server, the gateway compares the creation time for multiple HTTP cookies that are present, and only forwards the most recently created HTTP cookie to the web based server. This avoids invalidating a session as a result of receiving multiple conflicting HTTP cookies from the same wireless device.

摘要: Anastomosis devices, methods and apparatus for installing the devices in the performance of an anastomosis. One example of a device includes a central ring portion from which malleable tines and optionally also fastener elements extend. Each tine may have a weakened section at which it preferentially folds or buckles when subjected to bending force. Each tine can grab and evert tissue around an orifice in which it is installed, as it is moved from an initial to a final configuration. To install a device, the tines are advanced against an anvil to cause them to grab tissue around the orifice and curl radially. The anvil is then retracted to fold the tines so their curled ends move radially outward.

摘要: A Doppler control circuit for a CW or pulse Doppler radar system for monitoring not only the phase shift between echo signals from several targets but also the amplitude difference between the several targets and to further tune the radar to a particular target among one or more targets from which echo signals return. The control circuit can be used in state of the art CW or pulse Doppler type radar systems. In a further system, a continuously generated radar signal is repeatedly transmitted at different frequencies in time division fashion to define a succession of transmit and receive frames. The receive frames are divided into a plurality of time interval windows with selected windows being used to detect received signals at the different frequencies. The remaining windows can be used for subsystems of the radar system. The rate of phase shift of received signals at a reference frequency is used to determine closing rate (positive or negative), while the phase shift difference between received signals at two frequencies is used to determine range and target direction. A target persistence and environment filter prevents the radar system from giving false alarms due to short duration target echoes resulting from birds or wayside objects.
