摘要: An article is disclosed which is suitable for wiping hard surfaces such as glass to give a streak-free finish. The article comprises a substrate (preferably paper or non-woven fabric) carrying a homogeneous aqueous composition having a surface tension below 45 mNm.sup.-1 and which on drying does not form discrete droplets or particles larger than 0.25 .mu.m. The liquid composition advantageously includes a (preferably nonionic) surface-active agent and a partially esterified resin such as a partially esterified styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer. The article may be wet (for example, coated or impregnated with the liquid composition) or dry up to the point of use (for example, the liquid may be within pressure-rupturable microcapsules). Preferably the article is produced by a process which includes prewashing the substrate to remove any potentially streak-forming impurities.

摘要: A liquid general-purpose cleaner, having improved non-streak and cleaning properties, is obtained if in a liquid-compatible medium which comprises a nonionic surfactant, an at least partially esterified resin and water or a mixture of water and a water-miscible organic solvent, as nonionic a topped nonionic surfactant is used containing less than 2% by weight of non-alkoxylated material and less than 4% by weight of mono-alkoxylated material. By using this nonionic surfactant, less partially esterified resin and less perfume are required to achieve effects similar to those obtained when a non-topped nonionic surfactant is used.

摘要: The present invention provides a solid bleaching block on the basis of an alkali metal monopersulphate for use in an in-cistern dispensing device, also comprising at least 5% by weight of an alkaline earth metal soap. By the use of these soaps, blocks are obtained which release the bleaching agent at an acceptable rate yet maintain their block structure.

摘要: Extendable bridging bar frame members are pivotally mounted to an angularly adjustable loading platform level of a bi-elevational platform lift apparatus. The bridging bar frame members are selectively extendable to engage an associated dock side loading surface in order to suspend a free end non-attached portion of the loading platform at dock side level while the opposite end portion of the loading platform is adjusted for alignment with a vertically offset dock side. This will allow angular adjustment of the loading platform level while still utilizing the mechanical support of the bridging bar frame members.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a manual reset motor protector device having an arm of a nickel-titanium metal alloy or the like supporting an electrical contact and having a spring arm supporting a second electrical contact, both of these arms being mounted on a device housing. A manual reset member is slidable on the housing for deforming the arm of the noted nickel-titanium metal alloy from an original configuration to a second configuration while the nickel-titanium alloy is below a predetermined transition temperature, whereby the device contacts are normally engaged to close a device circuit. When the device is mounted on a motor for protecting the motor against over-temperature conditions, electrical current is normally directed through the device circuit. However, when an over-temperature condition occurs in the device so that the initially deformed arm of the nickel-titanium alloy is heated above its transition temperature, the arm returns abruptly to its original configuration and moves away from the spring arm to open the device circuit. The reset member has portions arranged to engage the nickel-titanium alloy arm and the spring arm of the device separately as the reset member is moved to deform the nickel-titanium alloy arm. As a result, sliding movement of the reset member does not close the device contacts as the reset member is moved for deforming the nickel-titanium alloy arm. Accordingly, if the over-temperature condition in the device is continuing when the reset member is moved, the nickel-titanium alloy arm is not permanently deformed by movement of the reset member and returns to its original configuration on release of the reset member from its resetting position. The device circuit therefore remains open.
