Abstract:
A gesture recognition method includes detecting multiple pointers in close proximity to a touch surface to determine if the multiple pointers are being used to perform a known gesture. When the multiple pointers are being used to perform a known gesture, executing a command associated with the gesture. A touch system incorporating the gesture recognition method is also provided.
Abstract:
Methods described herein manage wafer entry into an electrolyte so that air entrapment due to initial impact of the wafer and/or wafer holder with the electrolyte is reduced and the wafer is moved in such a way that an electrolyte wetting wave front is maintained throughout immersion of the wafer also minimizing air entrapment.
Abstract:
An outlet cover for temporarily covering an outlet box with an outlet installed in the outlet box. The box having a plurality of inwardly facing surfaces, a plurality of outside surfaces, and at least two mounting arrangements for securing the outlet thereto. The outlet including at least two elongated tabs for the securing of the outlet to the box wherein the tabs extend on either side of a plug receiver. The outlet cover including a face plate sized to at least substantially cover the plug receiver wherein the face plate has a front surface and an oppositely facing rear surface with a perimeter extending about the front surface. The cover further including a plurality of rearwardly extending friction tabs extending about a portion of the perimeter configured to extending between the outlet and the outlet box to frictionally engage at least one of the inwardly facing surfaces and retain the cover in a mounted position on the box such that the cover remains fixed relative to the box by the frictional engagement and the cover is spaced from the outside surface of the box.
Abstract:
A tiled touch system comprises a display on which a computer-generated image is presented. The image is formed of an array of image segments. A digitizer is mapped to the display and senses pointer contacts made thereon.
Abstract:
A determination is made of a real-time azimuthal position of a notch alignment feature located on a support surface of a substrate holder relative to a fixed reference ray extending perpendicularly away from a rotational axis of the substrate holder as the substrate holder rotates about the rotational axis. A determination is made of an approach initiation azimuthal position of the notch alignment feature relative to the fixed reference ray at which vertical movement of the substrate holder should initiate in order to have the notch alignment feature located at a prescribed azimuthal position relative to the fixed reference ray when the substrate holder reaches a prescribed vertical position. A determination is made of a time delay required to have the notch alignment feature located at the approach initiation azimuthal position. Vertical movement of the substrate holder is initiated in accordance with the determined time delay.
Abstract:
A touch system comprises a large scale touch surface on which an image is presented and at least two imaging devices looking across the touch surface and having overlapping fields of view. Processing structure communicates with the imaging devices and processes image data acquired by the imaging devices to determine pointer contacts on the touch surface using triangulation. The processing structure further executes at least one application to facilitate user interaction with the touch surface. Methods of interacting with the touch surface are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A casegood such as a pedestal desk or credenza is provided with a height adjustment mechanism. The height adjustment mechanism is attached to an outer wall of the casegood. By rotating the height adjustment mechanism, the distance of the casegood's work surface from the floor can be adjusted so as to provide an ergonomic and efficient work area.
Abstract:
A method comprises capturing at least one image of a three-dimensional (3D) space disposed in front of a display surface and processing the captured at least one image to detect a pointing gesture made by a user within the three-dimensional (3D) space and the position on the display surface to which the pointing gesture is aimed.
Abstract:
A touch system includes a plurality of coordinate input sub-regions. The input sub-regions overlap to define a generally contiguous input surface. Each coordinate input sub-region generates pointer coordinate data in response to pointer contacts thereon. The pointer coordinate data is processed to update image data presented on the input surface. When a pointer contact is made on a coordinate input sub-region that does not overlap with an adjacent coordinate input sub-region, the coordinate input sub-region processes acquired images to derive pointer data and triangulates the position of the pointer using the derived pointer data thereby to determine the position of the pointer contact relative to the touch surface. When a pointer contact is made on a coordinate input sub-region that overlaps with an adjacent coordinate input sub-region, each overlapping coordinate input sub-regions processes acquired images to derive pointer data and triangulates the position of the pointer using the derived pointer data. Thereafter, the triangulated positions generated by the overlapping coordinate input sub-regions are processed in accordance with defined logic thereby to determine the position of the pointer contact relative to the touch surface.
