    摘要: In an embodiment, a low-force, low-friction, short-travel, low-energy control rolling trigger utilizes a rolling element as a trigger-release mechanism in equipment, machines and tools such as for clutches, brakes, actuators, and projectile launchers. The rolling elements within the trigger mechanism reduce the friction, which in-turn reduces the force necessary to discharge trigger. In an embodiment, the trigger is part of a firearm and uses a mechanical trigger. In another embodiment, the trigger is activated by an electronic signal that activates a solenoid, which pulls the rolling element, and thereby releases the striker or in a trigger-release assembly.

    摘要: A gas meter installation including gas supply plumbing and point of use plumbing will have a gas meter therebetween. A valve can be installed with the gas meter for shutting off the flow of gas to the point of use. This valve is preferably a gate valve mounted with the a gas meter, and can be retrofitted into existing installations, or installed with the new plumbing installation. The valve can be shut off by remote activation for example due to a seismic sensor causing a controller to send a signal to activate the valve. The control can also interact with electricity shut off apparatus, automatic meter reading apparatus and point of use security systems.

    摘要: A flywheel is attached to a shaft of a turbine. As the shaft rotates, the flywheel swings outwards away from the shaft and regulates the angular velocity of the rotating shaft. In an embodiment, there are multiple flywheels attached to the shaft. In another embodiment there is a first flywheel that controls a second flywheel. In another embodiment, the flywheel has adjustable or centrifugal displacement of counterbalanced masses for effective rotational diameter with effective rotational balance. In another embodiment, a small pilot centrifugal displacement flywheel may control a clutch by rotational velocity and may include a hysteresis control. An example of a clutch may limit that degree to which the arms of the flywheel may be extended and/or retracted. In another embodiment, a small pilot centrifugal displacement flywheel controls the hysteresis of a centrifugal flywheel displacement.

    摘要: A seismic safety valve has a housing with a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a fluid passageway interconnecting the inlet and outlet. A recess is formed inside the housing along the fluid passageway, with a valve seat located adjacent to and below the recess. A valve member, made of a magnetic material, is in the fluid passageway and movable between a first position in the recess and a second position on the valve seat. The valve member closes the fluid passageway in the second position and opens the fluid passageway in the first position. The recess supports the valve member so that the valve member is movable from the recess upon the housing being subjected to a predetermined amount of seismic activity under forces generated by the predetermined amount of seismic activity and gravity. At least one electromagnet is on the housing outside of the fluid passageway. The electromagnet can be used to automatically activate the valve by moving the valve member, or may be used to reset the valve after the valve has been activated.
